A.J. i was trying to think of something poetic or smart to say, however, i have failed so i just wan't to let you know how important and special you are to me. YOUR music is so inspiring to me in times of need. For example a while back my grandmother died, then mu cousin drowned, then my great grandfather died, after that my great grandma died, then ontop of everything else my besat friends of 12 yrs. moved to Ohio. Okay, I just wanted to report an 'idiot'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just found this article in a mag, and i hated it SOOOOOOOOO much, I cried 4 an hour! I'm serious! I'm an obsessed fan! Hey AJ,
Was just at your concert Sept 23 in Minneapolis. If my calculations are correct today was 86 days sober and counting knew you could do it. I just want to say thanks to you and the guys for your complete honesty to all of us.
By being so mature about your situation you sorta showed me that it was time to grow up in a few ways and help myself when it comes to what I've been trying to deal with on my own,even if it means getting help. I want to say thank you for that. I wish that I could hug you for it and maybe some day I will have that chance but we'll just wait and see. Anyways stay strong and keep up the GREAT work!

Dear Alex, I guess you are 80 days and counting. It takes a true man to have the guts to go through all you have been through. I am very proud to be a BSB fan and you make me even prouder. You will still have days that are tough, but surround yourself with mementos from fans and remember that we care about the man inside. I respect you and will continue to pray for your success. I am one of your older fans and can tell you that getting help at 23 is a lot easier than at 45. Your body will thank you later. Best wishes to you and all of BSB.

A.J if your on the web anytime soon please check backstreet.net in the piont of veiws under send a.j your best of wishes cause i've wrote something just for you and it goes a little something like this I know people don't know but A.J Mclean of BSB is a really nice person and he had the courage to come to friends (fellow bsb members) with his drinking problem before it came worse and tell them that he had a problem and not alot of people will have the balls to do that congratulate him on doing that and to the critics don't say something mean about this young man that you regret about him being the bad guy of the group (which he is)about drinking because A.J is a nice man deep down inside who did a stupid thing and paid for it by getting help (in a good way) and back on the road bsb again ok.
