Dear Aj, when i heard the news about you on the radio i was so shocked because everytime i see you your smiling,but then i realized your human like everyone else in this world and there are lots of people who are going through the same thing because everyone loves,crys,and feels down sometimes.so i hope you get well soon and so do the millions of other fans who love you.and i hope to see you in good spirits again and performing again cuz music wouldnt be the same without you,you make it fun.You're still in my heart as you have been in the past 4 years and you will continue to be forever, cuz when you cry i cry. love, a loyal,caring fan.

Hi AJ; HI.. My name is Jenn and i have been a fan for many years and years to come. I hate to see you like this, under pain, and depression. You mean alot to many people and you are an idol for many others. No matter how much you have done, and have made bad choices we support you in all you do and we understand what you are going through. It's hard to understand but your fans have continued to support you and same with your fellow band mates. I hope you get better soon and i wish you all the best in years to come and i hope what you have gone into re-hab for you have comed out as a much happier person. Remember that no matter what u have done your fans are behind you 100% and we will always be. You have touched many hearts (including mine) and you still continue to. AJ,I am a 35 year old mom, and I just wanted to say that I think that your one incredible human being. I know what depression is about. And losing loved ones. I've lost a mom, dad, brother, sister, child and a boyfriend. The pain is always there, but it gets better with time. You just have to realize and know that our loved ones want us to go on. No matter how difficult it is. I am a survivor of domestic violence and am a manic depressive. Although I've never abused alcohol, I know of someone who has. It's a long difficult road. But your strong. My family and I have been fans since the beginning of your careers. We feel like we know each one of you through interviews and tv appearances. You'll all get through this and you'll be stronger for it. Your groups music has gotten me through some really bad times in my life. And for that I'll ALWAYS be grateful. I admire you for telling the truth. My love and appreciation grows for your music and the group. No one can match your integrity, loyalty, honesty. Your true love of your fans. Your not phonies. I pray that you will be well soon. Just take your time and be reassured that your fans understand. They love you and respect you. They want what's best for you. And the others. Dear AJ,
I'm 13 years old, my name is Sarah, and I am truly sorry about your grandmother. I hope that you can get alot of rest and treatment so you can get well and go back on the road with the rest of the guys. I have to say you are my whole life. When I heard about you I cried for hours. With out you to see in the world, my life would crumble. I can't live a single day with out you AJ. Your the reason why I get up everyday. You are my inspiration, my life, my future. I really hope you get well. I went to your concert on Feb.15,2001 at the Pontiac Silverdome. Although I had really bad seats it's was still an amazng show. Every time I saw you I kept thinking to myself how much I wanted to be able just to touch your hand. My friend and I wrote Valentine Letters (one to u from me, and one from my friend to Brian) I really can't stand to see you in so much pain. I plan on sending yellow jelly-beans to the Fan Illistarted for you. I hope you enjoy 10,000 yellow jelly beans from all your fans. It's unbelieveable how much of an impact one group can have on your entire life! A.J. you are an amazing inspiration to me and you and the rest of the guys have changed my life's course forever. Your devotion to your fans and your love and energy has in many times saved my life. You and the guys were for a few years my reason for breathing and as weird as that sounds I thank you from the bottom of my heart. You have saved my life and I will be your number 1 fan until the day you die. I'm so proud of your decision to deal with your problems. I and the rest of the fans are behind you and the guys in whatever decisions you feel the need to make. If you choose not to come back I hope you will always remember in your rough moments that you helped save someone's life and you are an amazing beautiful person who's smile brings happiness to my life. hey you are a true inspiration to me and my little cousin briley. i love you so much not only because you are such a great singer but also because you remind me of my brother (and you look exactly like him too) who loved music and went through the same thing you are going through but then he passed away 2 years ago and ever since that you have been my favorite with nick in the 2nd spot. thanks for being such a true inspiration to me and my family and helping get over our loss. you are so hot!!!! and i hope you will get well soon. you guys put on such an awesome show i have been to two of them. get well soon and please come to amarillo you will have lots of support.

I have been a huge fan of you and of the Backstreet boys for the longest time and i never thought something like this could happen to any of them but unforuntally it did. But the best thing for you to do was what you did, ask for help and i think you gained a lot of respect from people that werent even bsb fans. I wish you the best of luck and everyone is behind you 100%.

i hope aj feels good again, and continue the tour and hopefuly they;ll come to israel too.
the thing is the press is going to be very hard on aj, he is going to be labeld as the drunk bsb for the rest of his life. i don't mean it as a bad thing, but u guys will see every interview wont be about the music or the tour but about aj's drinking problem.
i am glad he took control and realized he had a problem and dealt with it -it's very good, but, i i wish they wouldnt say anything about the drinking for aj's sake.
you guys will see and hear the press your self and understand me.
but for aj - i hope u feel good soon and be with the rest of the boys and us the fans, we do support u through thick and thin, just concentrate on getting well, looking foward to seeing u up on your own 2 feet again, good luck,

Hey AJ! I know you probably won't even read this, but if you do, I hope you the best. I think it's great that you actually acknowledged that you needed help and took the first important step in helping yourself. There may be fans that are upset because their concerts are rescheduled, but your true fans understand. I went to the June 30th and July 1st concerts in Albany and they were fantastic! Well if ya get this, I luv ya and you have a terrific talent and I'm happy that you have continued so long singing with BSB! Best Wishes!
