AJ, I just want to congratulate AJ on being so brave and making the right decision to get help with any pain with which he might be dealing. Admitting he had a problem must have been very hard for him and I wish him the best of luck on recovering. I am also very proud of the Boys in being so truthful to the fans about AJ's condition, and for being such amazing friends to AJ and helping him with whatever he needs. All the best Backstreet Boys and AJ.

This is for all the Boys: I have sent in my comments to AJ, to wish him the best. However, I must send in my best wishes to the rest of the "boys". You need to be strong, too. Seek help to get you through this. Someone you love very much is sick, and this will affect all of you. AJ has taken the really hard step of admitting he needs help. You have shown your love for him. But you also need to deal with this issue for yourselves. You must be feeling sadness, anger, denial (yes, classic grief symptoms) for a man you all obviously love very much. Your fans are there for all of you, not just AJ. You all need love and support, and you should know that it is out here. Thank you, also, for not brushing this under the rug. Depression and alcoholism are issues that must be dealt with, and can be treated. They should not be ignored. I am so glad AJ has taken the first step, and I have faith that with the love from family like you, and with the power of all of the good wishes, you will all be recovering nicely very soon. A fan, and the mother of a fan! Lindi

Alexander James McLean, You are my hero. You truly are. While I may not obsess over you and imagine myself marrying you one day, you are still my hero and always will be. I heard about your drinking problem some months ago and feared you had a big problem. Since then I have been half anticipating something like this happening. And it did. But it was a good thing. Checking yourself into rehab will probably save your life. Depression is a dangerous, tricky thing and I should know. I am one of its victems. When I was 11 years old, I began to notice that I was rarely happy for a long time. Sure, I'd laugh and smile, but it would go away in a matter of minutes, settling into something deeper and darker. By the summer of 2000, only a year after that, I was deep into its grasp. I began to cut myself as a release from my emotional pain. Well, I've kept it up for a year. I am now 13, and not in the least better. But I will be. Your music, and you, AJ, have brought me to believe I have a chance. It's been two weeks since I last cut myself, and while the thought has entered my mind since, I haven't done it at all. Why? Well, partially because I am in counseling, which HELPS, but also because of your music. Now this. I really am happy to see that one of us is saving ourselves. And I think that since you, my hero, are taking that step, I will, too. Good luck, AJ McLean. I just know that you will pull through this. You are a wonderful person and an awesome guy. I pray for you every day, and now I will continue to do so, though much more than I already have been. I love you, and I love who you are and what you do. I wish you the best and I hope that you get through this and continue to be the awesome, crazy guy you always have been. Much Love and Support, Jocelyn
