I have been a fan of the boys for nearly 6 years now ..as long as I can remember! Seeing the boys like that on TRL made me realize how real this is, and how it isn't a thing about the Backstreet Boys as a pop icon, this is about Aj Mclean and four of his best friends. This is real. It's very scary, but I know that AJ will get through it. He is a strong person, and really good at heart. You recognized your problem and are taking steps to fix it: that is a very commendable thing. Most people with depression and alcohol abuse don't realize their problem until it's too late. I hope that you get better soon--not because the fans need to see you on-stage or hear your voice singing our favorite Backstreet songs, but because I, as well as the Boys, your family and the rest of the fans, care deeply about you and want only the best for you. I've been though depression myself so, I know what you're going through and I know it's not easy.
