Dear AJ, Nick, Kevin, Howie, and Brian:
To start off with I want to thank you for being totally honest with your fans. I am sure they are all thankful for it too. We know AJ is having a hard time and we are there for you guys all the way! We truly care about you..not just as a singing group but as people. We understand you have feelings just like every human. You guys have been through a lot in the past. Like in the song "Time" you say "Look where we are and what we've been through" this is another challenge God has given you. The good thing is through everthing ya'll have been through you stuck together and didn't push it off like it was nothing. You have always been there for each other. You showed us repsect by being honest with us. Just remember you may not be able to meet every single fan and thank them, we know you are thankful. We will always be there for you and have you in our hearts. You can count on us!

Hearing about what happened, made me want to cry. I don't have MTV, but I heard about the song, and the looks on your "brothers" faces. It shows how much they care about you, how much the fans care about you. Don't ever forget that your fans will always be there to support you. Just look at all these posts of best wishes, everyone is praying for the best. You should be proud of yourself to be as strong as you were to admit you have a problem. I don't care how many tour dates you have to postpone, I just want you to get better. I am proud to be a Backstreet fan, and proud of you. Please, get better.

AJ- there are no words to describe how much you have changed my life and inspired me in the last 5 years that i have been listening to and keeping up with the backstreet boys. your very presence and voice has helped me through so much in my life. when i heard about the problem you were suffering from i wanted nothing more than to see you get better the same way you and the Backstreet Boys have helped me get through mine. You are an amazing person and i know it gets hard to deal with sad times like when ur grandmother passed away but aj trust me- i lost my father three years ago when i was not yet 15 yrs old and i was very depressed like you but i kept reminding myself of the good left in my life as should you! aj u have your mother a beautiful person inside and out who is there for you every step of the way.. u have 4 bandmates who r so much more than just that- they r your brothers and they r your brothers for life! a bond like that is so hard to find and it is truly a blessing that you all came together because you all are the greatest group of guys i have ever seen or ever will see! and you have the world's greatest fans as you guys have said. we are here for you every step of the way aj and our prayers are with you as you get through this problem. aj i love you so much and i can't wait till the day the problems u are battling now are behind you! good luck in everything and GOD BLESS YOU! AJ, you are such a strong and brave person to be making this huge first step. If you've been strong enough to make this step, you are definitely strong enough to conquer this problem. Your fans can always find comfort in your music, and I hope that you can find some comfort in knowing that you are in the hearts and prayers of all of us who love you. Your 4 "brothers" are pulling for you every step of the way, because they know you and they know that you can overcome. Keep your faith and remember that the good Lord will guide you and stregthen you through anything. AJ, we all love you and admire you for your courage. My Grandpa..had a stroke cuz of acholism..he lived!! I thank the lord everyday!! I had no idea that he did that!! but now he is stopped!! We wish the best to AJ. We hope that you will recover from these problems. We like you very much and hope you are doing well. When we first heard the news we were in tears becuase we love you very much. We hope you get better becuase the Backstreet Boys wouldn't be the same without you. The concerts don't mean anything to us because this is more serious than seeing a concert. I mean this is something that could last forever and a concert is just something for one night. I've never had to deal with someone having a problem with drinking or anything such as that until last year when my best friend told me that she was depressed. Before that I never really even knew what depression was. She never seemed to act depressed but she has said that she had learned to put on a smile. But never was it something as serious as this. Even though you don't know me, you are a part of my life and will always be. You music has helped so many people and continues to. My prayers are with you and your family. Your fans and I love you much and hope to see your smiling face back on stage soon. Love

Let me just say that i think you are one of the most bravest people ever. Just admitting to having a problem and seeking help to others takes alot of guts. I know you're the kind of person who keeps to yourself and tries to fix things solo, so i know this was a big step for you. When i heard about it on trl i was in tears. I mean, how can this happen to you, it seemed like a big nightmare. I also began to think that you have been acting different lately. I just thought ur attitude was changing, and i mean i knew about your alcohol problem, but i never knew it would overcome you like it did. i also didnt know you were depressed. i wish i knew you personally so i could talk to you and tell you everythings gonna be ok, cuz it will be. You are a strong and independent person. I always saw that in you. I was so excited in seeing you. I was supposed to be going to the concert on July 16 in NJ but since this went on, i will wait another 2 months, and my bf has bsp for me, so i can tell you this in person. i dont mind at all, all that is important is your health and that you will be better. Dont rush it just feel better and dont let this ruin your career. You have alot of friends, family, and fans out there that support you 150%, me being one of them. By the way, tomorrow will be the 4 year anniversary since i became a hardcore BSB fan! JULY 10, 1997! lol i'm crazy i know. Well AJ, i will be seeing you on September 6, 2001. My best friend called me and told me what was going on and I was in shock. I literally bawled my eyes out, but I know what you're doing is for the best and I hope you get better. I, too, know what it's like to be depressed because I suffer from occassional bouts of depression. I'm a 14 year old girl who absolutely adores the Backstreet Boys and I care deeply about each one of you. Please do all you can to get better and remember that you have a lot of girls that love you, including me. We want nothing more than to see you well, happy, and onstage again. No matter what happens, though, AJ, I will always support you. Please keep yourself safe and remember you will always no matter what have many fans that love and adore you.
