I commend you and the boys for even being strong enough to come out with what you did on MTV. At least you have admitted publicly that you have a problem and it's a start. You're only human. Just because you have talent and have captured millions of girls' hearts doesn't mean you can't be depressed...and it doesn't mean that Brian and Kevin can't get married, or anyone else for that matter. It doesn't mean Howie can't cry for having his sister die...it doesn't mean Nick can't have a girlfriend. You all can. You can do whatever they want, and you are. And as a true fan, all I have to say is THANK YOU to all 5 of you. You have done so much for me and I commend you majorly on everything you've done not only in my life, but in the lives of those fans that truly do matter and love and respect you for you.AJ, you're in my prayers. You have no idea how proud all us fans are for the decision you've made. It'll really make a large difference...for the good. I know it will. I am still a little chocked up on the news but I need to tell you my feelings and you probably will never read this. AJ, I think it is great that you decided to speak up and decide to get help. It is only for the best. The boys, myself, and all the other fans wouldn't want to see you hurt or in that matter dead. I love you a lot and care to much to see your life end to soon. Hey, you! I just wanted to say that I wish you the best of luck for a speedy recovery. I know what you must be going through right now because I know from personal experience what alcoholism can do to a person and their families' lives. It takes a lot for a person to admit that they have a problem, especially when that someone is in the public eye 24/7. But don't worry because I can PROMISE you that your fans, at least this one anyways, will always support and never abandon you. Thanks for showing us and giving the fans a reality check, that you and the rest of the fellas are only human beings, and that you guys do make mistakes and can let the wrong things get the better of you just like anybody. All I know is that whenever I'm down or feeling lonely, I'm able to put on your cd, and I can just be free in my own little world and find happiness. I wish i could do more, but since I can't, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope to see you on Sept. 22, & back on the road soon, just like the rest of your fans do, but just take your time and get better!!Luv YA Alwayz!!!

Hey Hon,
I just wanted to say how incredibly sorry I am that you have to go through such a horrible time in your life just when things are picking up. I am greatful that you had the courage to stand up and realize you had a alcohol problem. Before my father died of lung cancer in '93 he always got real violent, and aggresive when he got drunk, so of course he beat my mom up and such nonsense. But he realized he had a problem after 10 years! He just couldn't get himself from drinking. I am greatful that you have noticed it. And that you are taking care of it before it got any worse. All my love, and support to you, the guys, and your family. I hope you have close friends and family there to help you through it, and for you to get better, and be happy. I know what it is like to see
someone go through withdrawls, and the shakes. I just hope it doesn't happen to you like that. AJ your a great person and an awsome individual, genuine, and sweet. i was watching mtv and when i heard what happened to you i cried like a baby. i know you dont know me but i love you so much and me and all the fans will be praying for you to get better. personally i know your a strong person and my advice to you is keep your head up because everything is going to be alright. to nick,kevin,howie,brian i saw you guys and i saw the pain and tears in your eyes and all i can say is that he'll be better and healther.

it hurts it hurts. i care for aj mclean so much. to think that he has to go through this eats me up inside. i have been around alcoholics my dad for example. its a sad disease. i hope that aj can over come this. not for us hungry fans, but for him. he has given us all so much. they all have. and i know that they are a big part of my life. i just pray to god that he gives aj the strenth to carry on and "be happy".
i will love aj always and forever.

So many people are wishing and praying for you to get better at this very moment, I know that I am. We all love you so much. You have changed so many lives with your music, now it is time for us to help you. You are such a good person, such a strong person. To a truly amazing man:I have been BSB fan for a long time, & you've always been the one who cheered up when I got upset, made me laugh, was an inspiration, & generally, make my heart beat like mad:) It breaks my heart to hear that you are depressed, but what gives me hope is that you are doing the right thing & seeking help. You are truly an inspiration to all. You are a wonderful, talented, beautiful man who goes out into the world with his 4 best friends to share his talent with everyone. I can really relate to what you r going thru right now. I have lost 3 family members this past year and my grandfather recently had a stroke. This has been the hardest year of my life, but has made me a better person. You are a strong man and truly an asset to the music industry. I am proud to be a fan of BSB and of yours. You took the initiative to get help, and therefore, I have a new-found respect for you. I respected you before, but now I respect you as a conqueror of a problem. You are truly an inspiration to all those suffering with depression. My grandfather had manic depression, and he is OK now. You've given me so much in my life, so it's my turn to return the favor.
