I'm going to try to make this as short as possible! I am very proud of you. It is very hard to admit when you have a problem, and it must be 10 times harder for you because you are in the spotlight. Just know that the fans are here and we support you. You have helped me as well as fans across the world through difficult times in our lives, your music has helped us. I don't think you realize how you effect our lives. You are like a brother to me. Although I only know "A.J. the Backstreet Boy", I love that person and care for that person as if he was my own brother! No matter what happens, through here on out, I will be supporting you. Dear AJ~ This is probably the hardest thing you'll ever go through, but you've done the right thing in getting help. I'm very proud of you for telling the truth about the whole thing...a lot of people in your spot wouldn't. I can't say that I've been there with the alcoholism, but I've been through depression and I know what you're going through. Whenever I've been sad or whenever I have a bad day, I look up to the Backstreet Boys. You guys always cheer me up and make me happy. All I have to do is turn on your CD, look at your picture or watch one of your videos. What you're going through is no fun, but you're strong, AJ, and you've got Nick, Kevin, Howie, Brian, other friends, all of your family and millions of fans all around the world. We are all behind you, supporting everything you do. I'm praying for you AJ and I hope you have the quickest possible recovery and I hope that you never have to go through this again. Whatever you do, don't give up. Best of luck.

Hey! I heared the news on TRL today. I was very sad but happy at the same time! I bet your thinking why Happy!?!? I was Happy because you realized you needed help before it was to late and all of us BSB fans are proud of you for that. No matter what happens we all will be there for you no matter what because that is what fans are for and Iam sure your 'brothers' Kevin Brian Howie and Nick and the rest of your family will be there for you to. I'm very sorry you have to go through this pain, I wish I could make it better, and if I could I would do it in a second. It can to me as such a shock I mean I only saw you on June 30th in concert and you seemed to me your normal health self. Although i am not a bsb fan this news hurt really bad i shed tears for you and i pray for you and i hope all my friends who love you so dearly can handle this i hope you get better and i thank god you had the courage to go to rehab! I respect you so much now ! I made a club to support you!

I'm glad that you admitted that you had a problem and you're getting help. I know what your going through with the depression because I've been depressed before and I finally got help. I hope you get better soon and know all the BSB fans around the world are gonna support you no matter what happens in the end.luv

Dear Alex,i have to say i'm shocked to hear about this. i just saw you guys last month on tour and you looked so full of life and so happy. whatever got you down, i hope you get past this ordeal and come back at 100%. take as much time as you need hon, when you do come back, september or not, all of us fans will welcome you back with open arms, and will shed tears of happiness that you made it through. i know you can do it AJ, your music showed me how to be strong for myself. so i know you can be strong for yourself. take care and get well hon, and remember God never gives you more then you can handle. I have been a fan of you and the rest of the Backstreet Boys for almost 4 years now, and i just watched the thing on TRL and broke down crying, i realy hope you get better, and stay better! I'm going to the August 10 concert, and i realy hope your better by then beacuse any bsb concert just wouldn't be the samw without you!

It was somewhere around 2:30 today while watching MTV that John Norris came on telling everyone to watch TRL because there was going to be some BIG BREAKING news about the Backstreet Boys. Me being the fan I am freaked out thinking they were going to break up, so I called up my best friend and told her to watch TRL. She was just as freaked as I was. I wasn't able to be home when it aired but I did record it and watched it when I got home. Still worried about the news I was going to recieve I nervously rewound the tape. I pushed play and saw all the guys sitting there except AJ. Confused why there was only four of them I panicked thinking something happened to AJ, or he possibly left the group. Then Kevin said that AJ checked himself into the 30 day rehab clinic asking for help for his problem. I was shocked, yet somehow relieved that what I thought was going to happen didn't thanking god the boys were still together. I had heard AJ had a past alcohol problem before but I thought that everything was better now, not realizing how serious it really was. But right now all we can do is be with AJ in his time of need. They have always been there for their fans, so now it's our turn to be there for them. Seeing the boys as chocked up as they were (espescially when Nicky and Kevin were crying), made me realize how much I love and respect them. Me and my best friend always say we don't know what we would do if anything happend to one of them, not knowing that the time would come as soon as it did. But if all of us fans stick together we can make it through this, and I believe the same for the Boys and AJ. This is the end of my statement but not of of our boys. All we have to do is keep them in our daily prayers, and KEEP THE BACKSTREET PRIDE ALIVE! We Love you guys!

I'm glad you looked for help!! I'm praying for you, and I'm sure you'll be better!! I don't know exactly what to say, cuz I'm still in chock, I just read the notice and I'm still crying, but I'm sure you'll be better!! All of your friends and fans are praying for you!!! If you ever think about giving up remember that you have thousand of peoples that really care about you and just want you to be happy, remember how much you affect people's life, remember that we love you and want you to be better soon!!
