AJ, i am very proud of you for checking yourself in. i can't imagine how much courage that takes. you have so much talent it amazes me and it kills me to hear that you are in pain. as i have done for you and all of the backstreet boys ever since i have been a fan, i will pray. be strong, i know you will get better.

AJ, I just want to let you know at how much we care for you, and that we want you to get better as soon as possible. I can relate to you, in a way, you see, my father is an alcholic and I've seen the many things the alcohol has done to him, luckily he has recieved treatment and is recovering, and i'm very greatful for that. But what i'm say is I wish you the best of luck in recovering from this battle, because I know it will be hard. And always remember that there are many people who love you, AJ, and we all want you to get better.Best Wishes,

Hi Aj.... I know you probably won't get to read this, but I'm gonna write anyways.....
I've been a MAJOR fan of you guys since 1995, I'm signed on to a few of these online 'cliques' or whatever you call them......
Anyway, I was just lying in bed and I thought, Hey, I'll go check my emails...
nearly every email I recieved was the same.. 'TRL -IMPORTANT ABOUT AJ'...
When I read the contents of these emails I was completely saddened by the way some people try to handle depression! And the way some ''true fans'' (as they like to call themselves) act!
My mum finally admitted that she was suffering from depression about a month and a half ago. Granted she she only had depression and did not have alchoholism, but I know how hard it is for the person with this, as well as for the people around this person! If you get what I mean - please forgive me, it's nearly 2am!!!
I do not know you or know how hectic your life is...us fans can only try and imagine how hard you and the guys work...and also how lonely and depressing this music business can be.
Some people seem to forget that you are only 1 person that can deal with only 1 person's problems and feelings!
As a complete stranger, but as an extremely faithful fan, all I can say is how proud I am that you can admit that you have this problem - but please, do not try and get better as fast as possible for the fans - DO IT FOR YOURSELF!
However long it takes - us faithful fans will be here -
As always KTBSPA - and also keep the pride alive in your heart - that way, you can acomplish anything!!!!

When I saw the guys sitting there without you I thought "Oh no, what happend to AJ?" The pain in there eyes was enough. They love you so much, as do all of your fans. I just want you to know that you should take as much time as you need because the fans aren't going any where and will wait forever because all we want is for you to get better. You are in my thoughts and prayers and I know God is on your side to help you get through this rough time, as well as your family, friends, and of course the guys and fans. I just want you to know that you took a huge step and I am so proud of you. I know you will get better and be on your feet in know time. Just remember you have a ton of people who are here for you when ever you need us.

AJ, I know this isn't an easy thing to deal with. I can't honestly say I know where you're coming from because I've never experienced anything like it, but I just want to say that you can get better....you will get better, but its gonna take time. Just remember that you and only you control your destiny. For now, I just wish that u relax and take it easy. Focus on getting better and know that there are millions of fans like me praying for you everyday :)

First of all let me say that I love you so much and I know you can do this. You can pull yourself through this. I have so much faith in you and I'm not about to give up on you. In no way am I at all disappointed, I am actually proud of you for being so brave to step up to the plate and get help. I know you want to get better too, you know you have so many people that love you, care for you, and want you to get better. I know that when you hit the bottom, it's the worst feeling ever. I've been there, but just think, it will not get worse,only better. Everything can be uphill from now. I love you and I have the greatest faith in you, always and forever.

Well, AJ, I just want to say that I hope you get better. I hope you fight your depression and your alcoholism. Just think what all of your fans miss if you don't. I'm sure that all the people at the rehab center are great. Plus, you have the support of your family, friends, and band mates.

I know you get this all the time, but you mean the world to me. And I know you can get through all this. It'll be hard at first, but thank God you realized that something was wrong and sought the help. Thinking only of you made me strong through so many things that have come up against me in my life, so if I can make it with just you, you can make it with me...with all of us, your fans. I'm glad your getting help with your problem of depression and acohol. It took a lot of guts to say that you needed help. I know you're a strong person and even though times are tough right now in the end it'll all get better.(believe me.) I'll probably cry myself to sleep tonight thinking about you. Don't get troublesome AJ. All I'll think of is you getting better. I love you like crazy & would not want anything to happen to you. I DO NOT want to see you hurting.
