Hiya Aj... I guess like a lot of your fans I saw this coming... We knew what you were like, we'd met you on your bad days, and read about it in the past and we all kind of saw it coming. I'm not here to bash you though. Everybody makes mistakes... I hope you get better and soon. Not for the fans, and not cuz we all wanna see you in concert or cuz we're impatient for your next album but because I know what it's like when you don't "feel right" and you're obviously not feeling right... Get better man!! I aint holdin' a grudge... You're still my fav BSB!!! I LUV YA!!! GET WELL and GOOD LUCK!!!

Hey AJ!Since everyone else has pretty much said what we want to say, I guess we should just say, "Same here!" lol. Maybe it's good to be reminded, though. Well since all this serious talk is making us sad, we figured you could use a laugh. (Hopefully it will make you laugh ;) ) What did the fish say when he hit the wall? Dam! Lol. We just wanted to let you know that we'll always be there for you! You're in our hearts and prayers. We'd also like to say that we are very proud of you, and we're proud to be one of your fans. By realizing you needed help you took the first step; and as my friend once told me, "the first step is always the hardest." You are a courageous, wonderful person. I just wanted to say that when I saw the BSB on TRL today and learned about AJ, I started sobbing. It made me realize how much I not only love the guys' music, but also them as people. AJ is in my prayers and I hope he fully recovers. I know all the fans will stick by him through this. KTBSPA - especially now.

I have suffered depression throughout my life. I know how hard it is to go on some of the times, and I realize that it can come to a point and your whole world just seems like its going to fall apart. I just want to wish you the best. And I want you to know that you are in my prayers every night but with what you are going through now I will pray to god to help you with a speedy recovery. Today, July 9, is my 15th birthday. What I had planned was going to make it the best birthday ever, I was going to the Backstreet Boys concert. When I turned on the radio I heard breaking news on the Backstreet Boys, the three remaining Boston shows were postponed. I went from not believing it, to being mad and then just plain disappointed. The reason they told us was Nick broke his hand. My mom thought there must be something else to it, I wondered if she was right. Later on, when I heard they were on TRL I decided that if AJ wasn't there, there was something wrong, since he wasn't at the Red Sox game. Well I was right, and I was shocked to say the least. I was proud of the fact the other guys came on to tell the truth, not many people would do that.Now that I'm none rambling about my day I would like to wish the best to AJ. His pain shines through is his song. These 5 guys really do mean the world to me, I don't really have any very close friends but I consider Brian, Nick, AJ, Kevin, and Howie 5 of them. I hope AJ gets better soon and my prayers are with AJ as well as his family and extended 'Backstreet' family.

I was so upset when I watched TRL today... My mom happened to put the channel on and called me up cause BSB was on. I just knew something wasn't right as soon as I saw the looks on their faces and noticed A.J. was missing... I cried during the whole thing. I know I don't know him personally but being a fan of theirs' since the beginning really makes me feel close to them. Especially because of how they reach out to their fans, they love all of us wether they know us or not just as much as we love them wether we've met them or not. I just want A.J. to know that I'm here for him along with every other BSB fan. I want him to know that we all care about him a lot and that he has our best wishes and prayers. I know he'll eventually find himself again and I'll be here always as a fan with my full support. Also, I want Kevin, Brian, Nick, and Howie to know that I love them all too. I could see how hard this has been for all of them. Seeing Nick made me cry even more, he kept wiping his eyes and didn't even talk.... Well, anyway I think I've made this long enough.....I love you BSB and hang in there A.J. cause we all love you!!!

I'm happy. As cruel as that might sound, I am. He's going to be treated, released, and then come back better than ever. Don't get me wrong now, it's not going to be easy for him or the rest of BSB, but he's a strong guy as all of us fans know. He lives and breathes performing on stage for us. The Backstreet Boys have come so far, that you can be damn sure this won't bring them down. They've had Brian's surgery, media, antifans,deaths of family members, marriages, and who can forget the Lou Pearlman issue. Think about all of the things that they have somehow managed to push past and deal with. All of these things, and they are still on top. There's no need to cry, that's not going to do anyone any good. What we need is to not let him go through this on his own. They have told us over and over again that the Backstreet fans are the best fans in the whole world. Now, it's the time for us to prove it to them.
May God be with the Backstreet Boys and their families and friends through this hard time.

aj,i just wanna say one thing you did a great job by letting someone help you!! your the one that took the 1st step!! and i think that's why people are gonna admire you more than anything after today!! i know i do *now*!!! there's been alot of people in my family that's faced drinking problems and believe me it's not easy, to try to fix this problem on your own!! you have 4 best friends,and they did everything to get you help,that's because they care for you and they love you!! you have thousands & thousands of fans around the world that i know who will be praying for you,and supporting you!! *i'm one of them* !! but i know you'll make it ,because we all know aj mclean is a strong & tough guy!!!! i hope you get better soon aj and i love you so much!!!!!!!!! **my thoughts & prayers are with you**

AJ,Though I can't say I know exactly what you're going through, I can relate. I've been receiving treatment for anxiety and depression for almost 2 years now, and I'll give it to you straight. It's often a rough road to recovery. But, constantly remind yourself of what's important in your life and remain optimistic no matter what. You've got a lot of supportive friends, family and fans to help you in your struggles. Don't be ashamed to call upon those same people when you stumble. You're gonna make it, AJ. You're gonna be okay. With lots of support, Bren =)
