i cried myself for 3 hours after watching that TRL thing i could barley breath i cant belive this im still in shock but i guess like most other people i always knew there was something going on my friends who are nsync fans would joke about it and be like oh yea ajs the drug addict/alcoholic/raper well i guess they were true about the alcoholic part... your my fave bsb member you always will be ill keep you in my prayers

Hey all. Wuz up? I know we are all saddened by the announcement about AJ, but we all need to be happy. AJ is getting help for a disease he is fighting!! We need to keep him in our prayers right now. He is a strong man, BUT no one can do this alone. I know he knows he has MILLIONS of fans behind him. I am happy to read MANY letters from fans stating they are behind him all the way! That's why he loves us!! For sticking w/ him and the rest of the boys! And AJ, if you read this, you have this New York girl behind you. I will pray for you everynight. And I will light a candle for you! I know you can get thru this. It will be hard, but you have MILLIONS on you side! I just wanted to say that it took a lot of courage to say that you had a problem, and you are a very strong person to do that. You have been through a lot and I know you'll work hard to get through this. When i saw TRL today and you weren't there and that the rest of the guys looked so serious I knew something was wrong with you. I am very proud of you to be able to take that major step and admit u have a problem and get help. I think that was the best thing u could have done and went to friends and family with this issue they are the ones that can guide u through this tough time. To the rest of teh Backstreet gang i am thankful for you informing the people of this problem becasue it is something that should be known and not kept a secret. I wish you all luck. Aj ,
You have helped so many people through the love you have for music that was brought into our houses and cars and everything. It has helped me through a lot whenever I have had troubles i have looked to your music for help. Look towards nick , howie , brian , and kevin and all family and sara. Everyone who you know makes you happy and by knowing that they will always be there it will always help you through everything. Then you have all of us your fans who we feel like friends. How nice you are to us when we want some kind words or a pic. It is time to the kind words to you. Look inside youself and do this for you because until you can be happy with who you are and comfortable enough to say i love myself and everything about me. Then it will be easier to step away from the things that make you forget like drinking. I will be at all your nj and ny shows in floor seats I will be there to give you what you love the inspiration and haming it up on stage like I love and I know that you love. Today as we were about to watch the tape of the CBS Larger Than Life concert, we heard John Norris say the word Backstreet so we immediately jumped and said "STOP THE TAPE STOP THE TAPE!!" When we heard that some sort of breaking news was going to be given on trl, we sat there thinking about all the possibilities. The first thing that popped into our minds was that they were breaking up. Two seconds later, we slashed the idea realizing that they had been denying that up till the day before. Then we thought maybe one of the boys was hurt or in trouble and such thoughts went through our mind. What could it be, we thought? We waited until TRL came on to hear what it was. Then we saw 4 out of the 5 guys there and we immediately knew that AJ and his smoking/alcohol problem was the cause of the meeting. When we saw the boys there, and how they were explaining what the problem was, we started crying, but we were VERY proud of the fact that Alex was strong enough to admit that he had a problem. It made us even more emotional when the guys were choking up and crying. Nick couldnt even speak a word throughout the whole program because he was so upset and was trying to hold back tears. When we saw that song that AJ had written by himself, it immediately came together and everything suddenly started making so much more sense. AJ was someone who always tried to make others happy and he even admitted in the past that sometimes he tripped over his own heart. When we, the fans, were happy seeing him in the videos and in person, we didnt realize how much he was hurting inside. Its sad to know that he was so unhappy while trying his hardest to make everyone else happy. He was living a lie and for that we are truly sorry. AJ was such a great person and yet, all these problems in life were thrown at him at once. Its hard for anyone to go through such a trying time. You would not believe how hysterical we were throughout the whole program. We were sooooooo proud of him for fessing up to his problem yet we were so upset he had to fess up to a problem in the first place. We could imagine AJ sitting in the clinic crying because of how much everybody cared. I must also say that i was proud of all the people in the studio, Backstreet boys fans and others, for understanding that this wasnt a Backstreet problem, its a people problem and being respectful to the boys. However we were not happy AT ALL with what Carson was saying. Especially when he asked the boys if there would be a Backstreet Boys without AJ. They had enough to worry about and thats not a question to ask a group who have been together for nine years and treat eachother as family. That was disrespectful because of the fact that it was such a somber moment. Im not by any means trying to diss Carson but that was not appropriate and it wasnt fair to the boys. SPECIAL WORDS TO AJ: AJ, we want you to know that you have the world behind you giving you that extra push to reach the top. We know that you love what you do enough to get through this and go back to where you truly belong which is up on stage in front of all your fans doing what you love to do. On behalf of every single Backstreet Boys fan in the world, we want you to know that you have our complete and absolute support. Take as much time as you need to get better. We would all rather have a healthy and happy AJ in time than a sad and depressed AJ now. We want you to get better, we truly do. You have our blessings and we will pray for you every day. Just try your hardest to get better because you have millions of people wanting nothing but the best for you. We want you to be able to enjoy what you've worked for your entire life. This is just one of lifes many obstacles, you gotta think positively and every day, just know that you have the boys, your friends and family, and of course all of your fans wishing the best for you. You should know how proud we are of you. You have to be extremely brave to admit you have a problem and you have to be really strong to go about trying to fix it. We love you so much and we want you to know that you have our complete support no matter what. You have made us so happy over the years doing what you love to do. Please do whatever it takes to make YOURSELF happy because when you're happy, you make us happy. We want you to get better with all our hearts. At first I was angry that the tour was cancelled, but when I learned about AJ, I started to sob. AJ, all of the millions of screaming fans of yours are heartbroken about your condition. I know all of your other fans will agree with what I say. At least I hope so. i wish you the best of luck with your rehab and I hope it helps you the mopst it possibly can. Even though you went to all the other concerts anyway and didn't tell anybody, not even your group buddies about your problem. But since you did tell them, I am very proud of you for doing that. All of the backstreet boys fans and your personal fans wish you the best of luck! The fans in clinton, ny wish you the best and we all hope that the rehab will help ou so you are not depressed anymore.
