Well, of course I'm glad AJ's getting help, but I was talking to some of my friends and they were saying they were mad at him! How can someone be mad at AJ for what he did? I mean, come on guys. Any true fan knows how much AJ loves being center of attention and performing, and he obviously knew that he would be out of shows so that must have been hard for him. No matter if we're mad he won't be at shows, or glad he's finally realized his problem and gotten help, we've got to support him.

you are SUCH a BRAVE GUY!we are alllllll proud of you for taking that BIG step,it's the first and probably the hardest of recovery. i know u'll pull through.thanks u guys for not lying to the fans,I would have lost my respect for BSB if u had lied.Howie-when Carson asked if there would be BAckstreet Boy without AJ...ur answer was the BEST I think ANYONE could have EVER given :) AJ-u are soo lucky to have the 4 "fellas" lookin after ya'.GOODLUCK TO YA! and REMEMBER...GOD is ALWAYS here for u. he loves u and u can do ANYTHING with him!God bless!

I just wanted to let you know how much we[the fans] care for you and wish you all the best of luck getting over this. It takes a big man to admit that he has a problem and get help for it and i'm glad that you took that step because I, We, wouldn't want anything to happen to you. I know I personally can't imagine BSB, life, without you and I want the best for you. I know you can get through this.

Dear AJ (Alex, or Bone)I was tuning into MTV today because I was home and there was nothing else on. I heard there was Backstreet News and I got excited, I thought Kristen or Leighanne were Preggers...I was wrong. I then heard the news and covered my hand with my mouth, all Backstreet was crying espically my Nicky C....he usually talks alot today he didn't even say a peep. My friend Becky loves you and she was balling on the phone, I had then started balling, we were planning on seeing you July 21st, and were freaking out about it (13 days in advance) but then we found it and we were just frozen balling sharing stories and dreams about you. We told my friend Ellie and she surly sends the best then we told my Aunt Sharon. I know all of us girls will pray for you every night and pray that you have will power and for the rest of Backstreet and your family. We love you and you will be in our thoughts.

I think that aj is really brave for taking the first step to help himself i respect him for everything i will be a fan no matter what even though i cryed over this aj you are my inspiration.. and im going to take that along way so aj thank you for being you.! the man that everyone loves

I'm behind you 100% no matter how this all ends up. (I'm sure it'll end up well, don't worry) Not only me, there are millions of fans who have the same opinion. I'm not sure if you are reading this, but I'd like to add some more stuff anyway, it might help. You've meant so much to me, and all of you fans. Your music along with the rest of the guys is so wonderful to hear, it helps me when I'm sad. I'm not sure how to explain it. I'm so sorry this had to happen, and I wish I could help. It is really great that your doing this, I know you can pull through this because I know you are the sweetest person in the world and I believe you can do it. When I first heard about it i felt sad because you had problems and when you were singing that song that you made i almost cried. OKAY THIS NOT TOWARD A.J.!!!!! personally i think that it is none of anybody's business of what is happening to him!!!! Hey AJ,
I was really sorry to here about you having to go to rehab and then my friend told me something that I actually believe... It takes a strong person to admit that they might have problems... for you it couldn't have been easy to admit these problems but you have many close friends and fans you care about you and what you do... I guess what I'm trying to say in a way is congrats... I hope I can find the courage to admit to those that love me, my problems... I guess I'm just not strong enough a person... but you are... thank you... for just being you... you have truly been an inspiration for me and I'm glad to see that you are getting the help that you need...
