i love you! i am soo happy you're getting help it's the best thing that you could do. now you're not hurting yourself you're helping yourself. i was upset that the concert was postponed for tonight (july 9) but i am now happy because i now know why it happened. you're my favorite and i can guarantee you that i will be there september 8th at the fleet center. i will have a sign for you that says "i love you A.J. i'm your perfect girl" laugh out loud...i have a great sense of humor hehe well anyways this is getting stupid...i'll see you later! A.J., I do not know what to say except that you are an extremly strong person. To admit you have a problem and do something about it. I and all of your fans will be praying for you the whole time. Hey i don't know If aj is actually going to read this but........I would like him to know that I have been through what he is going through. I have an achole and a depression problem too. When i was deciding on whether or not to end my live the backsteet boys kept a same fire burning within me and They stopped me. AJ mostly stopped me because he is my favorite. Hearing his voice calmed me down and helped me back to relize that this wasn't the answer. My days were a blur because i took meds in the moring to help me stay awake and i drank and took Sleeping Meds at night to help me sleep. Today i stopped drinking .I dumped the rest of my tequila bottle down the sink. I did this for you AJ. I love you and you are my 'saviour' from the bad reality that has become my life. Without your stronge voice my life would be in ruins. I hope u get better soon. Just remember that Atleast ONE fan is helped by your strenghten

AJ, I am so proud of you for coming out with your problem. Even though the concert is postponed, your health is more important than any concert or any amount of money. I wish you all the best of luck and I just want you to know that your true fans (myself being one of them) will always be here for you and the rest of the guys through thick and thin no matter what happens. I will always love you guys no matter what the future holds but I am hoping for the best. Good luck and come back soon...we miss you!

My father went through the same thing last month, and while it's a difficult thing to go through, I believe you have the drive and determination to make it for the best!! As a Backstreet Boys fan and someone who has suffered through Depression and self-multilation, I would like to wish you all the support and Love that I know that you will need.
You have the best fans in the world who love you, and you have your family and friends.
You will be in my prayers for as long as you need them, and my love is with you. Cause it was my friends and your music that helped me survive my depression, and helped me get on, realizing that life isn't always s bed of roses and things happen for a reason.
I was a little upset when I found out the tour was cancelled, cause I had been trying for 4 years, but that concert in Toronto meant nothing to me if you weren't there and healthy, your health means more then any concert could ever....To this day it hurts to talk about what I did to myself, but when I reached out for help I realized that with that love and support I could conquer ALL.
And you can conquer ALL too...I have faith in you. With all my LOVE and HUGS!

hey aj,
i just wanna tell you that it was very brave of you to go into rehab. it takes a lot of guts to admit that we need help sometimes. i hope you get better soon. all the backstreet fans are going to continue to support you and the rest of bsb. the fans and you guys have been through a lot together. this is just another conflict in life. you are going to overcome this problem just like you have overcomed other problems and we are going to be there for you, praying and hoping that you will recover.my grandma died just monthes before yours did so i know what you are going through. i hadn't seen her for 8 yrs cuz she lives in another country, but that is just how life is. there are bad times and good times. we can't let the bad times bring us down. so aj keep your head up and be confident. believe in yourself! you can do it! kevin, howie, brian, nick, and the fans are praying for you.

It's the best thing for you. You'll come out with a whole new aspect of life, like to get closer with your girlfriend. I felt sooo bad when I first heard about it. My cousin is going into rehabilitation because of him drinking and smoking and doing drugs, and he's doing just fine and he is getting a new aspect of life and is just turning his life around. I'm so proud of you to come up and say that you have a problem and telling the whole world about it. Hope everything goes well.

I dont know if you will get this, but I want to say I am proud of you along with everyone I know. You and the rest of BSB have helped me through my depression with your song "The One" which showed me that there are people who will always care, as well as your other songs. Now you have the depression and I feel so helpless, I cant write songs for you or anything, but I am writing this and I am praying for you hourly. I hope only the best for you and I will look forward to seeing you when you are able to come back on tour. We all love you and are behind you!

I've never met you, and the only time i've ever seen you is from afar. I can see in your eyes that you are a strong person. You've touched many hearts, including mine. Last year, I went through a severe depression that lasted for 8 months. It was a horrible time for me. But, I have gotten better. Although I still feel depressed at times, I think I'm doing ok.
