Hey AJ!
I am a huge fan. I am 16 from Pittsburgh. I have attended three out of your four concerts in Pittsburgh. You have made a huge difference in my life. You, as an individual, showed me to be my self through music and everything I do. I was actually in the beginning stages of depression and you as well as the other guys helped me out of it. I am praying for you to get better and to be healthy. We understand any desicion you make as long as you are healthy. If you feel comfortable to return to the BSB scence we will be here for you, but if not your fans will understand. Your friends and family are in my prayers.

Listen, A.J.: I know that this must be really hard for you, but you have to know that everyone who cares for you will be behind you throughout this whole time. All of your fans love you so much and do not want anything bad to happen to you, which makes you a truly awesome human being to come forward and admit that something is wrong. Not to mention, letting all of us know makes us feel that you really care about us. You want us to know if there’s a problem which, I think, makes us all feel a little bit closer to you. You getting better is all any of us wish for, I just want you to know that. Your recovery is all that’s important to me, so please get better quick. I love you and the beautiful music you and the rest of the Backstreet Boys have made for us.

To A,J: I just want to wish you the best and it is imprtant that you take as much time as you need to get well! Don't rush it, we aren't going anywhere and we will still be here whenever you are ready to come back. The tour can wait! Your heath and wellbeing it much more important. To the Howie, Nick, Brian, and Kevin: I am so proud of you guys for being so honest with us, I know it makes me feel like you really care for us and appreciate our support. I would like to say Im really in shock. I cant believe A.J is going through this, and I am very sorry he has to go through it. I would like to say to AJ that faith is everything, and as long as he knows he can, he will. I cant ever picture the group without A.J since he plays such a big role. Im pretty sad bec/ just today I was trying to enter a contest to meet you guys, and to come and find out that their is much better things in life than meeting you guys, like knowing you are healthy and strong enough to face such a problem. The most important thing to remember in all of this is that AJ had enough sense to know when he needed help. Everyone has their demons, but not everyone can admit when they are too powerful to overcome on their own. So many celebrities, especially in the music industry, let themselves be destroyed by drugs and alcohol. I, for one, am just relieved that AJ decided to seek help before he joined the list. As for the rest of the Boys, they are truly great friends, standing by their fallen comrade in his time of need. There are millions of prayers going out for AJ tonight and every night until he has truly won this tremendous battle. If AJ is reading this now I just want to let you know that we are all behind you and wish you the very best now and in the future.

i am actually very happy that aj has taken a step to help his problem and i think it is a very brave step. it's so sad that he has to go through this and i pray for him and that he will be on the road to recovery soon. i hope that he is healthy and without him there isnt a bsb bcoz bsb is aj, brain, kevin, howie, and nick and they are like a puzzle without one pice its incomplete. i am praying for aj and lets make bsb no.1 as a tribute and vote for our boys for the vmas.(All caps detected. AJ, I know you may not read this but I would just like to tell you that you are such an inspiration to me. You are so brave admitting you have a serious problem like this. I have always thought you were a good role model for people of all ages, so when I found out today about how youre getting treated for depression, alcoholism, and anxiety I was shocked, but i wasn't disappointed in you and I didn't lower my standards of you...actually I think you are brave. I know everyone thinks of you as some big super star singer and I know you are but I believe you are more then that. I mean i know every human being will deal with problems some bigger then others but I think it is great how you went up to Kevin, Nick, Howie, and Brian, and actually said guys I have a problem and I need help. That to me is being an excellent role model. You have not only taught me to follow me dreams, work hard, and many other things, but you have now taught me to be honest with myself. AJ, I wish you the best of luck with your treatment and rehab, as many other fans do. I believe in you and I know that you will recover and get through this!

AJ, you've always been so strong, both physically and mentally. we, as fans, realize that you've been going through tough times and we want you to know that we believe you can make it. emotions can cause one to do crazy things but you made the right choice to help yourself and we feel that you are very courageous to admit that you have a problem. we are sure that you will have no problem, however, leaving the alcohol if you put your mind to it, we wish you mental strength, health, the best of luck, and lots of love. we hope you feel better and we want you to know that no matter wat you do we will always love you and give you as much support as possible. we love you, good luck... =)

My Dearest A.J.,
My name is Amanda, and I’m 17, I’ve just heard about you’re misfortune. I too, had an
alcoholic problem, when I was 14. I had to go to AA meetings, for 6 months. It is very
hard to overcome, but in the last 3 in a half years, I’ve made wonderful progress. Like you,
I also have a depression problem, I was diagnosed Bipolar, and manic depressive.
Everything that I have gone through is somewhat similar to what you’re going through
now. I completely understand and give you moral support, as well as stand by you and the
band, through your trials and tribulations. I’m here for you everystep of the way,
supporting you, in you’re recovery. Hopefully everything goes right for you, and always
remember that there’s a brighter day!! Thank you for inspiring me to keep singing, and
holding my head high. Helping me stay proud of myself.

I was so upset to here that you are going through so much right now. I dont understand why it has to be you. I really think of you as my idol and I am going to start singing as my career and I hope to become as successful as you. You have so much talent. I cryed myself to sleep the night that i heard the rumor that you guys were breaking up!! I was soooooo relieved to here that it wasnt true. When i went to your concert, I cryed when i first heard your voice because i love it. I wear a necklace that has your name on it so i can keep you with me all day. I am really sorry about your grandma and this has made me feel sick. Please always stay a Backstreet Boy because you guys are the only things that make me happy. I LOVE YOU!!!!
