To anyone reading this:I hope you AJ recovers and get better. He has been throgh so much and I am glad he realized he needed to do this. He has to think of AJ McLean and not the Backstreet Boys at this moment. AJ, if you are reading this I love you and cope with this one day at a time. I know it will not get better right away, so stick it out and you have people who love and support you. To the other guys, just help him out the best you can and support him and give him the space and time he needs. KTBSPA!! love yas

Dear AJ,
I am very sad that you had to check into rehad, I'm gonna miss seeing you on the 21st at the Tweeter Center, but I don't really think that postponing the tour is a big deal I've waited this long, I can wait 2 more months.
This is the first of your concerts I've been able to get tickets to because I've always been preoccupied with family matters, but that's irrelevent because I got tickets this year.
I'm really glad that you've chosen to get treatment, and not let the problem get worse. I think that was a very adult and mature decision to make, especially with you being in the spotlight. Average people can't do what you did, it took a lot of guts to follow through with this.
I also think that you are very mature about this by letting the public really know what happend instead of hiding it.
I am glad that you are on the road to recovery, and hope you get well soon. Take your time with the recovery because we all want you to be in full health and back to normal again. We can wait to see the concert longer. Get Well Soon AJ!!!Love Always,

I am so proud of AJ for admitting he needs help. That is very hard for people to do. and I am so happy that he will be ok. when I first heard of this I was freaking out but I am ok now because I believe that AJ has the will power to get through it. I am glad that they decided to come public with it. and not try to cover it up. I love you guys.

I felt really sad when I found out about AJ's problem but I have faith in God that he will get AJ through all this, and AJ as well as the rest of the guys will look back on this and see it as yet another hard obsticle in their way the top and as a nightmare.

i'm very sad that AJ has to go through this. I send him all my love and support, and I want to let him know, that the fans will ALWAYS be there for him!! I know that right now the only thing that mattres to him is to be around his family and friends, and the last thing he needs is screaming fans after him, but I believe right now, we (the fans) are doing a lot more then screaming, we are praying and wishing from the deepest of our hearts that he gets better!! We believe that he has the strength to go through this! The most important he did, which was to ask for help, and now he needs to have faith in our Lord and everything is gonna be all right!! If it depends on the prayers, he's gonna get out of this really quick!!

hey men of backstreet the news I heard today affected me so terribly july 9 2001 was a bad but good day,bad because our backstreet boys are in pain and our friend aj is in a bad time in his life and good because he is getting help for his troubles.my heart goes out to aj and the boys all the fans are here for all five of you and your families aj doesnt just have five he has millions aj get well and come back to all of us we love you .

When I first heard the news, well, I was shocked and worried, but I was so proud of you 'cause you face the problem and that shows that you're a great men and I'm sure you're going to get over this and feel great very soon!!!
