I’ve been a bsb fan since the first record you guys released in Europe and that’s so many years I sometimes loose count :) I heard on the radio this morning that you were having problems but I shrugged it off as just another ludicrous rumour, that’s floods the airways about u guys from time to time. But when I heard brians voice follow I was deeply upset.To know that a person I have admired for a huge part of my life was in trouble and that there is nothing that I could do about it is incredibly distressing, but nothing compared to the turmoil, yourself, and your friends and family are experiencing at the moment. My love and my prayers go out to all of you especially you aj. I love you all so much. I think I speak on behalf of the fans when I say that we are all so very proud of you for seeking help. what u did now its good step for u, to realsie that u hav problem is very important thing, to find away to get over this problem means that u know what u want in life and u know that with this problem... u would never be the same, what i want to say is that we r 100% behind u and wish u all the best, do ur best to come back to us again :)

Sweet Alexander James,I'm so sorry for all the things that happened to you, I know it's not easy to be a star with all the things that you go through, and I'm very happy that you realized yourself that you need help and remember it's never to late, I'm keeping my finger crossed for you and I know you'll make it, because you have so many sweet people around you. Oh dear God.
Call me paranoid, but I knew something had gone wrong somewhere. My day had gone too well, I'd even go so far as to say that it went on without a hitch. then I logged onto my daily dosage of backstreet.net. No offense, but this had to happen sometime. I always knew someone would crack sooner or later and I applaud the Boys for telling us fans straight. I speak for all the fans when I say that this frankness is very much appreciated. As for the one concerned, I can only say that I admire AJ for seeking help when he needs it. if such a thing happened to me, I think I'd be too much of a coward to seek help. I support you all the way AJ, hell ALL OF US support you. Everyone around me has been laughing at my undivided attention when it comes to you guys. Now that this has happened, it'll only serve to remind how human you are, and how anyone needs support when it comes to this. I salute AJ McLean for his decision. Well where do you really begin with something like this....First to all the fans...I know you love AJ, and i know that right now we all wanna do so much to help and and make sure he is ok...Even though we can not be there with him in person we can all be there is spirit and with our love and support he can make it through this. AJ is a strong man with a strong mind and he can make it. This happening should all show us, BSB is not invenciable, they are humans, they do bleed just like you and me and they do hurt just like you and me. They have feelings and fears and pain that no one knows. its what makes them human and even more wonderful to this world and to their fans. And about AJ as a person? Good god, i can not even express into words how proud i am of that man. He saw a problem, knew something was wrong and took a step, maybe just a baby step, but it is one step closer to him making himself the man and person he knows he can be and wants to be. My respect and adoritation for AJ has done nothing but grown since i heard the news. It hurts yes to know that he is hurting, but it makes me feel even better to know that he is doing what it takes to make himself better. And for that is only one of the TINY reasons i love that man. He is a true inspiration to us all. His love and dedication to the band, his family, "his brothers" and to us shows what kind of amazing person AJ really is. And i hope in his heart he knows it. But now it is time for us fans to come together and pray for him, like we have never done before and make sure that god and AJ both hear our prayers, and feel our love. Remember all the times you popped in that BSB tape and you saw AJ and the boys dancing and singing their hearts out for YOU...and maybe you popped in that tape cause you where down, upset, even depressed, and you knew they would make it all better, or even just playing the cd on constant repeat while you sit and think about things, they where there for you, maybe not physically, but emotionally and spritualy they where there, they lifted you. Now its time to return the favor and let AJ know how amazing, wonderful, caring, warmhearted, and just all around great man we all think and know that he is. AJ we love you so much and we are sooooooo D@mn proud of you!! Please get better soon, but do it for AJ not for any other reason. We love you baby, and we are here for you every step of the way, no matter how minute they may be, we are here, and dont ever forget that.....

Dear AJ--You have more strength than you know. It takes a strong person to admit they have a problem and seek help for themselves. But you don't always have to be strong. Lean on your family, including your brothers. They will be with you through all this and it will be their support that will get you through it. Never think you are alone in this fight. The fans are here for you too. We will be here waiting for your return with open arms whenever it should come. Take care of yourself first and foremost right cause you are the only one that matters! One thing I have to say - "THANKS AJ, FOR BEING SMART" Has anybody ever watched "Behind The Music" on VH1, well it tells about all the old bands, they all get depressed or whatever, and they overdosed or killed themselves, I'm just thanking AJ for admitting he has a problem, and dealing with it the RIGHT way. If he didn't who knows what would've happened.

Dear Alex,I wanted to tell you, and the rest of the guys, that I stand behind you no matter what, and that I will support you and all of your decisions!
I think to make this decision and leave the group now to take a therapy was hard but it prooves that you are strong and that YOU are willed to do this. I'm sure you know that you have to make the first step and that you have to do it for yourself and not for the fans, the boys or the management. Be strong now Alex, don't give up! It will be a hard time and it will not be easy, esp. after you're out of therapy because if you are on your own, the real fight against your alcohol problem starts! I will pray for you during your therapy and after it as well.
Alex in the past you were such a strong person, show the world now, that you are more than the crazy part of the Backstreet Boys cuz to me, and other fans you truely are MORE THAN THAT! You are my inspiration, your music makes me feel better everytime I'm down and it makes me strong. Strong enough to solve every problem.

I am really sad that AJ is in rehab because of his depression, anxiesty, and alcoholism. I hope he gets better soon and I hope that everyone prays for him and supports him. Get Well Soon AJ from all your fans!!

I really am at a loss for words. When I first heard the news, I didn't know whether to be sad and heartbroken, or happy and relieved. But I think in the end, I am happy because the first step to solve a problem is admitting you have a problem, and I am relieved because now I know that A.J. is seeking the help he needs to get back on track with his life.A.J. believe me when I say: Take ALL the time YOU need to get back on track, regardless of show cancelations and t.v. appearances, for right now none of that matters. All of your fans are behind you with your recovery, and in time you will get better. Take your time, please don't rush for we all want this to be properly dealt with. This thing really shocked me. I never thought that something like this could happen to a Backstreet Boy. I know the BSB are very busy with the tour and I think very tired and stressed. But now, we, the fans, must support him in order to get him well as soon as possible.I'm very sorry, but now nothing can be done. :((((((

AJ there are not many words that can express the shock i felt or the way i am still feeling at this moment over your condition. I do not want to say how horrible it all is and make u feel worse than u already are feeling, with my few precious words that i can give to u, i want them to be of encouragement!
Aj I love u so much, and it is totally weird how this makes me feel when i dont even personally know u! It just shows the effect and the inspriation u have on all ur fans around the whole entire world! I mean i am from Australia, and that is a pretty long way from the US! But being that far away from u does not mean that i love u any less, or that i want u to get better any less. Aj i so love u. And wat eva it takes or how eva long it takes, i want u to have a full recovery! u hear me a FULL recovery, no matter how serious this problem is ok!! I can't believe how much u guys care for us, i mean even at a time like this u are still thinking of us and making sure u do wats right by us, that is incredible, u guys r honestly angels. And well thats wat i mean, u get better aj! we can wait as long as it takes for u to get back on ur feet! Dear AjAs always, here in Australia, we receive news later than everyone else, and at first, the news shocked me, but all i want now is for Aj to get better. It's very brave of you to admit to everyone about your anxiety, depresssion and excess consumption of alcohol.
It's very hard to do that, and for that, i already feel you've got the courage, and i believe that soon you will be all well again and maybe even better. During this time in rehabilitation, you will be in all our prayers, along with the rest of the boys.
Don't worry about your tour as health is the most important thing. I know that because of this, Backstreet Boys may not come to Australia for a concert tour, but whatever is best of you, your fans will all be glad too.
