Aj,When i heard about this I was shocked to hear that you of all people had been going thru this, B/c You're a Wild Man and u always seem like you're having a good time. Well, I guess this shows that even multi millionaires don't have it THAT easy, and they're just like everyone else. I have known many people in my lifetime who have had depression, and its not fun @ all and takes time. In fact, I had a cousin who just couldn't deal w/ it and commited suicide. Myself, i even had a form of depression, not REAL bad but i would cry all the time for just no reason! Its kinda scary. But I just wanna say that i'm so sorry to hear what you're going thru and not only me, but many others hope you get better. We all care about you Aj, and You can pull thru this! WE LUV YA!! -Mandi

AJ, I love you and I always will. I want you to get better so we can see you again and your health is the most important right now. We (the fans) will always support you. If you need more time to recooperate and cannot make it to the tour for the second half I will understand and so should all the other fans. We just want you to be happy and healthy again. To the guys, I'm really sorry that your hurting and I'm sure some people know what your going thru but AJ is going to be better and we have to focus on him getting better. I LOVE YOU AJ!!!!!!! aj- i'm so proud of you! you're getting the help you need to be able to continue on with life normally. you need this, and you figured it out, and i am so happy for you! i've read a lot of articles about this, and i didn't know much about what you were going through, and as i read what you would do when you were stressed, or when you got scared... i got scared for you, and i'm so glad that you are in rehab getting the help you need. if you didn't want this help... you wouldn't get anywhere in rehab. but, in your heart you've realized whats best, and i thank god every minute for that. i think that when you come back, and your all better, that you'll rock the stage like you never have, and that you'll be different... but not too different from the AJ we all know and love. and i think that it'll bring you closer to some fans... maybe tear you away from some... but it doesn't matter, cuz when you come back, everything'll be ok, and you'll be all better! so, thank you AJ for realizing what was best for you! i'll love you forever and always!

Dear AJ,I'm Roselien de Jager form Holland and I've been a Backstreet-fan for almost 6 years now and you guys mean so much to me, you've got no idea.
So when I found out the news the first thing I did was burst into tears, but now I've stopped crying, coz that won't get anyone anywhere. I just want to say I'm proud of you for taking the first step to recovery. Really, I am. The fans and the tour can wait, but your health and happiness can't. It's a big and important step you've just taken and I appreciate all of you being so honest and open about it.
All five of you have helped me so much so many times in so many ways. Now it's my turn to do something in return. That's the reason I'm typing this: to do something in return by letting you know that I stand beside completely. I think I speak for all the fans out there when I say: WE SUPPORT YOU A 100%! Just know that you can always count on us!
Than there is one (well one...)more thing left I'd like to tell you. I really hope you'll get better soon. I know you can get through this! Just keep your head up high! I'm not gonna say that I know what you're feeling I just want to tell you that I know what it feels like to be depressed and I know that it just well...sucks. But I also know that if you just hang in there you'll get through it. And believe me, in the end everything WILL be allright.
I'm not a religious person so I won't be praying for you or atelast not in the way you usually oray. But I promiss you I will think of you and keep you in my thouhts. And from now untill I don't know when I promiss you I'll wish you'll get well everytime I get the chance to make a wish (like when I see a falling star).

AJ- I just want you to know that I love you. I can imagine that it must have been terribly hard for you to have to courage to do what you did! In my family there have been people who have had to do the same thing and it was difficult for everyone. Keep your head high-- you'll get through this! Everyone is here to love you and support any decison you make :)

Dear AJ,
I heard about ur situation on MTV this morning and I'm really glad u seeked help. I understand that ur grandmother just passed on and she was like a mother to u. I am 11 years old and i also live with only my mom and grandma. (My parents were divorced since i was 2.) Resently my grandfather passed away and I know how much it hurts. Right now my life is turning in circles because so much stress is pouring over me and I am only 11. I'm so happy u seeked help because it can make a big difference. I do hope u get better soon. AJ,Wow...I'm really proud that you had the guts to come forward and ask for help, not many people do that. That shows a lot :) I'm just happy that you went for help before it was too late.

Okay, I'm gonna post a message directly to AJ in a few minutes. But right now I want to say something to the fans.How about we start a little fan support group? I say we all wear gold (his fave color) ribbons to show that we support AJ and his decision to get help. This way he will know that his true fans are planning to stick by him through it all. If you're interested in doing this, (you'll have to supply your own ribbon, since I'm short on that and $$,) please contact me at shiningstar2829@mtv.com and let me know. I can't ever, EVER think of a time when I EVER cried so much as I did, and have, over you. All I have been able to focus on is you and the Boys. Nothing else has hit my mind. In one way, I'm so happy for you! Good job, buddy! You admitted that you do need that help to get better! That's the first step and I have 400% faith that it will happen! Good job, you have no idea how much that means to us! But, in the other way, AJ, I'm so sad for you that I can't even talk right now. I can barely even see through the tears the keys on the computer. Hun, I am soo pleased to see that you are doing the right thing. You made the right decison waiting to get better, instead of allowing your self to get into an even worse position. I just saw you and the rest fo the guys in concert, and the show was awesome. People will still love the show later on, espically since they know that you are feeling better. I also want to thank you for being so honest with the fans, they don't need to know what is going on in your personal life, but you opened up and told them what was going on. You have proved that you guys are the best, in soo many ways, and I love you all. My prayers are with you and the rest of the group. I know you and the guys will make it through these hard times. You have the power to succed, and thats just what you are going to do. ALL MY LOVE!!!
