Dear A.J.,I was sad to hear that you are hurting so much. I am glad that you are getting help, and remember that the first step towards getting better is admitting you have a problem. It was very brave of you to tell the other members of BSB that you had a problem and needed help.
I, too, suffer from depression and anxiety. I'm on medication, and I see my psychiatrist once a week. I'm a lot better now than I was three years ago. It's not easy, but with the love and support of your family and friends it will be easier.
Remember that we (the fans) love you and support you. Don't worry about dissapointing the fans. What's most important right now is for you to focus on yourself, and for you to get better.
You are not alone, many people have gone through the same things you are going through.
I know that you can get through this, and that you will get through this.

Hi AJ,
How are you doing? I hope much better. When I heard about what your going through on TRL I was shocked, I couldn't stop crying but I know you are strong and will get better soon. But you have to do this for yourself and nobody else. And if you need more than 30 days to get better go ahead we will understand because we want the best for you. We love you so much and don't want anything bad to happen to you. I also want you to know how happy I am that you got help soon before it was to late. Also thank you so much for being honest to us your fans and leting us know about it so that we can cheer you up and pray for you. Another thing is that by admitting that you have a problem may encourage other people to get help, well I hope it does though. I just want to you to know you are in my prayers and all your fans are supporting you all the way. When I heard this news I must admit I was very upset because I never would've thought I'd hear such unexpected, heartbreaking news,but the most important thing is your health, and you knowing you took a very brave step in recognizing your problem and dealing with it so maturely. I know you'll try your hardest to come back as soon as possible, and I can't wait to see you pumping up the crowd back and better than ever September 22nd! AJ, when i heard the news i starting crying. This was so sudden and unexpected. I just recently saw you July 7th, at the fleet center in boston. You waved to me. I will for the rest of my life remember how happy i was at that moment. And i want you to be able to find happiness, like i do when i see you and the rest of the guys. I just want you to know that your fans are here for you always. Take all the time you need, we understand. We're praying for you, and we love you NO MATTER WHAT!! Dear Aj,
I have never been in your situation. But, on my be half, I'm pleased your getting help. When I first heard, I was like "oh my gosh!" Then, I heard on my local news that the concert I'm going to "could" be postponed. Luckily, I check www.bboys.com and I saw the revised schedule. Nope, my concert date is perfect! When I heard the news on backstreet.net I was worried. Then, it got on my local news, getting little more worried. Then, The Today Show, ok I'm like WORRIED! I'm a worry person. I understand your grandmother died recently. But, there is life and death. Have you ever seen Tuesdays with Morrie? It's a movie and a book. It teaches about life and death. Your normal. When something happens and your undergoing depression people will be on achocol (sp?), eating and eating, or taking it out on other people (You've heard all that gun shooting.) The way you handled this situation is good. Now, you just got to handle those 30 days in rehab, even though I don't know what rehab is, I'm guessing It's good for you. Talk to people, family, Nick, Brian, Kevin, and Howie. In away this is good this is happening, yet serious. Why? Good, because your setting us (the younger fans who are just starting with this) an example. How do handle it. I think the key point is:
Your Getting Help That's all that matters. Talk to yourself. Write a song, write a song about your grandma. Write all your feeling into a notebook. Do whatever you can. I heard from one of the boys off the Today Show, you weren't acting profressional. Hmmm...I don't get it. It's truly upsetting. Each of boys have gone through some negative experience, and now It's your turn. But, AJ your not alone. You got family, friends, and Nick, Brian, Kevin, and Howie, who are more than happy to help you [I hope.] Also, don't forget you got us THE FANS! There are 7 intelligences. One of them is verbal lingustic. Your more verbal, use that and get as much help as you need. If you ever think in your downtime you need a beer, a cigarette, etc..... Put them by your phone and attach a photo of somebody that will discourage you not to take the drugs. Think about them. What does your heart (your loving heart, and your scientfic heart, the real heart that keeps the body together) want? I won't give you the answer. Why? I don't know the answer. It's AJ McLean (by the way, how do you pronounce your last name?) who knows himself, and what's in you. Love Always,

hiya well if you read this then I just wanna say that you've taken the hardest step and as long as your determination to beat this carry's on then with the help and support that you already have from millions who you may, and may not know will only add to your strength. Remember that at any given point in the day you are in the prayers of many that hope you get better and the extra help from above should go without a mension, thoughts on every level are with you at the moment.
