Hey AJ,
I hope you get better man.You're a real inspiration to me and so are the other guys.My grandfather went through a similar situation so I kind of know what it feels like for you and the ones who care about you.My grandfather passed away though and my real dad isn't around so I know how you feel.Anyways,I like to write alot and i just thought i'd share two of my poems I wrote awhile back.Into Your Eyes
Looking into your eyes
I see troubled thoughts
of a troubled child
and the things you say
never make sense
but i'm here if you need me
and I will never walk away
because I know how it feels to be
sold out and let down
and even when you're strong
there's always pain
I can see through you
but I can't see into your head
how can I help with this situation
that you're going through
I know all these things around your head
and what they do to you
all in a day
you consume pain
that you can't make clear
and I know all to well
that if you can't deal
you'll find an easier way
to get out of here
just take my hand
and we'll walk away from this hell
Tomorrow
How do I stand
when the ground is taken out
from beneath me
I thought i'd have
the world in my hands by now
would you believe me
if I said i'm tired
of all this
it's not easy being strong
when i'm weak
yesterday I decided
on a million things
today I must decide
on a million and one
when all the while
the only thing
I want to know is
when i'll be able
to breathe
this optimism
that will be needed
will take some time
some getting used to
I hope you feel better
is what everyone's been saying
to me
well thanks alot
it's just that
I never thought
i'd ever end up here
today will be yesterday
and tomorrow will come
hopefully by then
I won't be alone
in this crowded room
and these familiar faces
i'll soon remember
would you believe me
if I said i'm trying
to get through all of this
it's not easy
yesterday I wished
upon a million stars
today I must wish
upon a million and one
when all along
the only thing
I want to know is
when i'll be able

a.j.,
i just want you to know that me and my friends are praying for you and we hope that you will get better soon. i really wish that i could totally understand what you are going through, but i can't. my aunt went through the same thing but i have never met her. a.j., just keep in mind that if you keep God in your heart and pray to Him to help you get through this that everything will turn out fine. there are milloins of people out there in the world that are hoping and praying that you get through this perfectky fine.and to the rest of the guys. do what i am telling a.j, just keep God in your heart and pray for him. it must be really hard on you to see you friend, your brother go through this. like i said before me and basically 5 of my friends are praying for you. please get better cause your millions of fans are waiting patiently to haer that you have recovered and is back to the same crazy and spontaneous a.j that we all love dearly. Alex,
We are extemely proud of you and the Backstreet Boys accomplishments thus far. I know that I am so grateful that you admitted you have a problem before something tragic happened. I love you and I wish nothing but the best for you. Get well soon. To the rest of the guys, hang in there. AJ needs your support and this time is as good as any to give it to him. I know it will be hard for you guys, but considering all that you have been through so far, I know you will pull through on top.

Dear a.j.
i am proud of you that you came out and said that you needed help.i heard about it last night and i started crying cause i didnt want you to get hurt and also cause you had the courage to come out about your problem.i know you will get better and before we know it you will be back from rehab and be healthy. i went to your concert at the fleet center on saturday,i was the one near the left ramp holding the sign "i love a.j." and when you pointed at me i was so happy that i cried,u make alot of people happy and that is something you can look forward to doing again when you come back from rehab.a.j. i hope you get better real soon and all us fans will be cheering you on as you get better and we and the boys will be here for you as you get help. love,janie

Dear Aj,
Hey. I hope you are feeling better. You are loved by millions of people, if you never feel like you are loved there are so many people that will comfort you. You should have seen your brothers, howie, kevin, brian, and nick on trl when they told the world you were going into rehab. Nick started crying so hard. I hope you find that conviction of hope while you are gone. That song you wrote on Saturday, July 7th, well actually it was on Saturday they filmed it with you and Kevin on the tour bus. That is the best song. Everyone in the world can relate to that. But in different ways. I think it was very, very loyal of you to actually confess to everyone that you had a problem. That takes a lot of courage. I wish you the best of luck in life. Hopefully you will recover, because you have millions of people, fans and others in tears and in hope you will get better. God bless

Yesterday when we found out that our shows were cancelled in Boston, we were heartbroken, and immediately assumed it was because of Nick`s hand. We called radio stations and found out that nobody really knew what was going on. Then we saw the guys on TRL and when they started to talk we both broke down crying. AJ is such a wonderful person, and he deserves 'to be happy' as much as possible. We`re very grateful that he took ahold of the situation now before things got too bad. We love you, AJ! All of our prayers are with the guys, and AJ.

I just wanted to say to AJ, Nick, Howie, Brian and Kevin that I know this is a really hard time for them, and that I'm still going to love them no matter what happens (and I'm sure everyone else will too). It broke my heart to see Kevin and Nick so choked up about the whole situation on MTV! However, I'm so happy that they care about AJ, and each other, so very much. So much that they don't even care about getting emotional on TV about it (cuz other stars would worry about something like that!) I know what it's like to lose a loved one, and to be depressed. But I know it must be a thousand times worse when you throw in the alcohol and the fact that you are one of the most famous musicians in the world. I think about how great it would be to be a rockstar, but then I think about how it could get you down a lot...so many people loving you who you don't know...having to constantly worry about where you are, who you're with and what you look like. Alcoholism and depression are real problems that real people deal with everyday, and I think this just helps everyone realize that the Backstreet Boys are REAL PEOPLE, just like each and every one of us. I think that telling the truth about it, like Kevin said, was the best thing they could have done. I'm glad that AJ's getting the help he needs, and had the courage to go to other 4 guys and tell them about this problem. I'm so happy that they are so close and have such a great relationship. Such a great relationship that he had the confidence and ability to go to them for help...some people dealing with similar problems aren't so lucky. Just wanted to say that I saw you guys down at NBC on the Today Show last week, and you were awesome! I was looking forward to seeing you next Monday in NJ, but it can wait til September for sure...as long as AJ gets better. We all know and believe that his health and well being are more important than anything right now! AJ, we're all praying for you and thinking about you everyday, we wish you the best, we love you, and we hope to see you again real soon.

As I start to write this messege to you, they start to play 'the one' on the radio, and right now the sounds of your beutiful voise hits me and as so many times before it puts a smile on my lips. For this and for all those times you given me streght to keep up you deserv a place up there whit god. To me and so many millions people you are the very symbol of godness and coolness. We are so very many right now that wisch that we could take you problems on our shoulders and let you off the hook, but we can't!! I really respect and admire u for telling the guys that u needed help! It takes guts to do that, and most ppl wouldnt!
