I miss you already even though you have only been off the scene for a couple days, and I know you can get through this and we ALL believe in you. You're a great artist, writer, performer, and an all around awesome person so don't let this wreck you. It's not worth it anymore and I'm so proud of you because you were brave enough to admit you had a problem and got help. Not many people can do that. That puts you on the top, in my heart, even though you already were. I love you and I'm behind you 110%! Best wishes to a full and speedy recovery,

AJ,I am glad you are getting help and had the gutts to admit that you had a problem. You must be brave and take care of yourself. The road can wait. Take as long as you need. Hey Bone Daddy!I just want to let you know that if anyone has the friends and family and support to pull through this thing, YOU DO! We, the fans, are behind you 100% and we know that you are strong enough to get over this and move on with your life. You have so much ahead of you that you should concentrate on the future and goals you want to achieve. To the rest of the BOYS: Thank you for being so strong and supportive of AJ and his decision to get help with his problems. He really needs your help and brotherly love. I hope things work out for the best and I can't wait to see you in Salt Lake on August 20th, ALL OF YOU!

It hurt me so much to sit there @ home and listen to B-rok, Kev, D, and Nicky talk about it.
Nick didn't talk any.the whole time he looked down.except this one time he looked up. you could see his eyes start to water. That's the part that made me feel the saddest. you could tell that he felt terrible. he really loves you. Heck, WE ALL LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!*****

Dearest AJ,I honestly don't know where to start - I am so proud of what you did and how much courage it took you to take such a big step. I am so proud of how mature you have become and how much stronger you will become after this. You are in my prayers and I hope you will get better soon. A lot of people say this is the end, and I hate when people say that. Cuz I know it's not. I am glad that you are getting help and that your four "brothers" are supporting you. I know that all your true fans understand your problem and are going to support you like I am going to support you. I just want to say that even though I may not be the biggest fan of the Backstreet Boys I totally respect them in a way I've never respected anybody before. I bet that if one of the guys from *NSYNC we're in this position they would have made up some lie, but BSB just came out and told the whole truth. I also have so much respect for A.J, it takes a lot to come out and admit you have a problem and for him to do that is so good and i wish him the best of luck and support. There are so many people out there that refuse to admit they need treatment, and perhaps your situation will lead them to take the necessary steps to get better. When I heard the news, I have never been so deeply saddened in all my life ... but yet, I have never been so proud of anybody in my entire life as I am of you. It takes a lot of courage to admit that indeed you have a problem and even be willing to get help. I'm proud of you! You came out and admitted something that would be hard for MANY people, that you need help. I know that you'll pull through, because you're strong. I don't know if you'll ever read this but I hope you do because you will see just how MANY people love and care about you. It's funny how entertainers become a part of our lives. You feel as though they are part of your family when you've been a fan for so long.
When I was watching TRL and saw the boys come on and express to us what happened, I cried. I'm not much of a crier but it just hurt ME so bad to know what pain AJ has been in. When AJ sang his song on the tour bus, I cried even harder. I must say I love that song and that is has so much meaning to it. It totally described what he has been going through. It also hurt to see how much pain the other guys were going through. Their brother was going through so much and they just desperately want to see him get better.
AJ, if you are reading this, I KNOW you'll get through this. Just give yourself some time and you'll be able to beat this battle. Everyone has their ups and downs in life but it's how you handle the downs that show your true character. I admire and respect you even more than before because of the guts it had to come out and admit you had a problem. I admire the guys too for not "sweeping it under the rug" and admitting to their fans what was really going on. Anyone who stops being a fan after this wasn't a true fan in the first place and isn't worth your time. We all love you and pray to God that you will make it through and we know you will. Everyone will keep you in their hearts until you battle this thing through. God Bless you AJ.

Dearest AJ, I have no idea if you'll be able to read this but I hope you do. I first heard about your admittance to rehab when my friend left a frantic message on my machine to "call her immediatly, its about the backstreet boys" she seemed near tears which rarely happens so I called her immediatly. When she told me a was totally in shock because just 96 hours ago she and I had been in Hershey stadium screaming our heads off for you *especially when you ripped your shirt off I thought my friend was gonna pass out!* I barely have my voice back yet and its almost been a week! Not to mention, but, to me, you looked like nothing was wrong.
I got the chance to catch the re-airing of TRL this morning and also the TODAY show and when I saw Brian, Howie, Nick, and Kevin's faces I was so devastated.
I have battled depression (not clinical because my parents never took me to the doctor 'cuz they didn't want to admit that I had a problem) since junior high (5-7th grades). I had just moved from Baltimore to a tiny weeny town to which I wasn't adjusting to well or making any friends. Then to make matters worse my grandpa died of lung cancer 30 years after he quit smoking. He had gone through so many other illnesses and this killed him in less than 6 months. This was especially hard when I found out the doctors said he would live 3-5 more years which means he could be here right now. During May of my 7th grade year, I was switching the chanels when I came to a commerical for the bsb tv millenium thing the next day I'd never watched mtv but I watched that show and bought Millenium. That CD has helped me realize people really do love me. I still get down a lot but it doesn't last because I can put on a bsb cd and I'm happy again. (ok enough about me sorry)
So AJ, I know we don't know each other personally but I write this today as not only a fan but as a friend. Because even when you are in Germany and I'm here in this little ol' town of mine when we look at the sky, we are still looking at the same sunset and still wishing on the same brightest star. I believe that you are a stong person and that you can accomplish anything you put you mind too and that includes beating this illness. You and I both know its not gonna be easy and that you are gonna have to listen to what others tell you to do but they know what they are doing and how to help you.
I've said before that you guys have helped me throughout the last few years and that I'd help any of you in your time of need. That time is now and I'm holding up my part of the deal. But I know that I can't be with you and hold your hand through this (although I'd sure like to :) ) but what I can do is pray that God will watch over you a little more and that you will be ok. What you need now is lots of support, rest, and to get this AJ back to the AJ we all know and love.
I love you sweety (and so does my friend her name is Lori, by the way!) and wish you all the luck in the world with this and any other thing that you need luck for. Oh, and if you are still not 100% by Aug 7th don't be afraid to tell the Boys, they understood once, they will understand again. Next concert I go to I want to see you as HAPPY and HEALTHY as possible.
And thank you for not lying to the fans cuz we would have found out eventually (we have our ways of finding out EVERYTHING!!!! :p)
This is long I know but I had to get my feelings out.
