Dear A.J.,
Yesterday when I heard Carson on Mtv say we Have bsb news on the way and that the backstreet boys were in the studio, I did the usual thing. Get a tape to record it,so I waited for an hour an a half to see you guys and when you weren't there I thought OMG what happened to him?! Then when Kev said what had happened I started crying and shaking. I called all of my friends and we watched the tv and cried. We really believe that you are brave to come out and say I have a problem and I need to get help,we respect you so much. so last night when I was thinking of you and what you must be going through I wrote a story it's kinda sad and it's not true but it's about you.I put it on my web page if ya wanna see it http://hometown.aol.com/frickschic2001/myhomepage/profile.html but that's just if you wanna see it. hi aj, you don't know me. i am a 20 yr old aspiring singer. i wanted you to know that people like you and britney and mandy and christina instilled a love for pop music i never even knew. you all have inspired me so much. i have been performing since four but i must admit i never realized it was my dream till i saw the bsb in concert at the tropicana field on feb 24th 99'. that was the best concert i have ever been to. not only do i want to take this oppourtunity to thank you, but i also want to let you know that we all love you and wish nothing but the best. your strength and belive in your dream made me realize mine. and it will be your strength that gets you through this. please know we will all be praying for you. and wish you nothing but the best of luck.

AJ, I hope you get better soon. But take all the time you'll need. If you need more time, take it, even if the tour gets postponed some more. Don't force yourself to put on a show if you're not ready. What's important is your health. I know you'll get through this. You are a strong person. And just know that I'm always here for you, I'm always supporting you, along with all the other fans.

I am extremely proub to bea Backstreet fan right now, you guys came out and were honest to all of your fans and I appreciate that from the bottom of my heart. I am getting teary eyed now but I am extremley proud of how BSB handled this situaton. I didn't watch TRL yesterday but I heard it on the radio. I was listening to a station that plays hip hop and R & B and they don't even play BSB but this is what they said" We have to give props to the Backstreet Boys who are real men for coming out and being honest with their fans, that takes so much bravery". They explained it and I was so proud of you guys. U guys always keep it real with your fans and all I have to say is thanks. BSB isn't perfect, no one is. But that was a real respectable thing u guys did and I can see myself trying to become more honest now no matter how hard it is. I don't think I could've done something like that but I want to be the kinda person who can admit stuff like that. BSB I love u and I will always be a fan. To hell with new videos, or tours and all that, if AJ u didn't get better for a year I'd wait and wait because I care about u guys as people more than just a group and I want u to be happy and healthy because even though I don't know u personally, u r a huge part of my life. I'll be a fan forever. You guys are in my prayers...Ktbspa.

I have a new form of respect for you not only as an artist but as a person. Admitting to having a problem is one of the toughest things a person has to do, I can not imagine how hard it must of been considering you are also in the spotlight 24/7.

Aj, um....well i have been a fan of yall since Quit Playin Games With My heart came out. But the song i feel in love with was As Long As you Love me. I just wanted to say i hope u get well soon, and i know u must really feel bad in order to turn to alcohol and stuff. I am so proud of A.j. for accepting he had a problem and for being willing to receive help. I love him with all my strength and hope he gets better real soon. My prayers are always with you, baby. I just hope he gets better real soon because I LOVE him. I WANT for him to get better for his wellbeing. I do not want to see him suffer any longer. It has only been one day since the announcement and already there are 118 pages filled with letters of support. I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that we can't wait for a healthy, and hopefully much happier, AJ to return to the stage. I look forward to seeing all of the Boys on tour at one of their rescheduled shows. I am quite sure AJ appreciates all of the support he is getting and is anxious to be back doing what he loves most. AJ...we are all keeping you in our hearts.

Dearest AJ, Brian, Nick, Kevin & Howie,
I really dont know where to begin! This came to a complete shock to me when I first heard about it! When I turned on MTV and was watching Brian, Nick, Kevin and Howie discuss their future plans I was so choked up when it ended! What you guys did takes guts and we're all proud of you! I'm very proud of the way you all dealt with it! I know most other artists would have pretended and lied to everyone about what was really going on, but you guys didnt! You guys cared enough about yourselves, AJ, each other, the fans, and your family and friends to come out in the open with it. I'm proud of you! AJ, you realized that you wanted and needed help, and you also realized that you couldnt overcome it alone. I'm proud of you. I know that everything you guys have done so far took courage and strenght. I'm proud of you. AJ, I know you can overcome this! Alex, it's me...Sheila. I'm your personal artist. We met for the first time when you were here in Pittsburgh last month.
Alex, I am so very proud of you for taking a stand and seeking help for yourself. I am overwhelmed with sadness that you are going through so much but I believe in the power of prayer and I pray for you each and everyday and I have been for several years now.
