It's a little ironic for me that I find myself here, writing to you right today & I'll tell u why, though u'll probably never get to read this letter...
Exactly two years ago u came to Viareggio for a concert &, of course, I was there...I saw Nicky & B*Rok on July 8 at the Hotel Astor, then all of u on July 9 in your amazing show & then again all of u at the hotel on July 10, and the last one I saw slipping away in your tour bus was u...I haven't seen u for two years & I miss u soo much...it hurts like hell when I think of how far u r from me & I go on just because I hope to see u & eventually meet u someday! U can't imagine how important u r in my life because I know it sounds strange when people who don't even know u tell u that they love u but it's true, I love u guys so damn much & I'd really give my life to save each of u because I owe it to you!

This is for AJ as well as for Nick, Howie, Brian, Kevin, AJ's family (esp. Denise), friends, and also to all the other fans out there who have been touched by the Backstreet Boy's music. I hope that everyone finds the strength to go through this hard time, together. I also hope that the guys realize that they have all the support and prayers from the fans. The Backstreet Boys have helped the fans through hard times with their music and hopefully the fans will return what they have done for us.
AJ, I have to say that you are a very strong person. It takes a lot more strength to say that you made a mistake and need help, then to just ignore it. That is what true strength is!
Whatever decision you guys make after, such as breaking up, do it (that is one of the hardest things for me to say) if it's going to make you're lives better. Remember, you are the ones who has to live your lives, don't try to make everyone else happy.
Also thank you, you may not realize how many times your music helped me. Sometimes I don't know what I would've done without it! Thanx!

This is to the incredibly talented singer Alexander J. McLean:One of my good friends was coming out of a relationship; his boyfriend was being abusive with drugs. This was largely related to his molestation when he was young and the trauma it left. Stress and anxiety are horrible when overdone and sometimes alcohol/drugs seem the only way out. But hang in there man! We are all there for you.
Take as much time as you need; I'd rather see six months and get you back to where you can be like new instead of going back after a few weeks and getting even deeper in trouble. Take this respite for your sake. You'll get more done in the long run.
I'm praying to the Great One that you recover! We need your lovely voice and talent in the BSB!

When I first heard about your situation, I couldn't bring myself to believe that it was true. I just couldn't bare to think about someone that I care about so much having a tough time. I hope you have a fast and promising recovery and you have my love and prayers with you always. Also, you have not lost my respect in the least, but have gained more of it. I wanna tell you how proud of you I am. That was a very courageous thing for you to do. Believe me things will get better for you. It might not seem like it now, but I have friend who suffers from depression and has anxiety too. She was scared at first to seek help but she worked up the courage to and now she is doing great and she says she is very happy and has everything she ever wanted. You are a very brave person and admiting you needed help is the first step to getting better. Things will get better soon I promise you. Please don't give up. You are a strong person and I will pray for you. Get well soon AJ.
