My father is an alcoholic and it hurts me to watch him do that to himself :( He doesn't want help so it's harder for him to quit. AJ,
Where to begin? Are there even words to describe what I am thinking? No. There aren't. I know what you are going through. I too have been dealing with depression and watch my mother go through recovery from alcohol abuse. I am proud to say she is 8 years sober. My step-dad is almost 36 years sober. Damnit AJ I know you can do it too!! What you are going through has opened my eyes to several things about myself. It has touched me on a personal level and all I have to explain what is going on with what I am thinking about is these few words that the english language has allowed me to use. No words will say what I feel about the situation. Except one-- happy. Happy that you realized your problem. Happy you know you need help. Happy that you are getting the help you need. I don't know what really to say. It is such a shock and what can I say. This is personal to me and I know what I went through with my mom, and based on what I saw from her personal growth--AJ the beginning is rough but I only see bright roads ahead after all the bad shit is over with!! Well if I have anything more to say I would like to say this. You as a musician have touched me musically. You and the rest of the boys have inspired my friend and I to record a demo at the end of this month. Thank you for sharing this with us and not leaving us in the dark about it. AJ we all support you 100%!! I understand and I know others out there do too!! I'm not in shock or in any other form of sentiment but hope, faith and sadness. I feel for you and I KNOW you will get through this. You are one of the best people and just admitting the actual problem gets a certain determination. You are a hell of a guy and it must be hell right now but it'll fade and only make you stronger. I just want you to know that you are being thought of 24/7 not because you're a backstreet boy but because you are a guy; AJ Mclean and because you are so courageous and I feel for you. You have changed so many lives with your outstanding performance on-stage. You have changed so many lives with your drop-dead gorgeous looks...what are you trying to do kill us women out there? SEriously though, I'm with you 100% and so is the big guy. You're in my thoughts, your in my prayers.
BSB, I HOPE YOU KNOW WHAT AN OUTSTANDING BROTHER YOU HAVE. I know that it may be hard but I'm a bsb fan and like so many others it's forever loyalty to you guys.

When I heard the news, I started crying because you and the rest of the Backstreet Boys are like part of my family. I also blamed us fans for what we do to get close to you because some celebrities get depressed over fame. I'm glad you are getting help. My love for you is strong and I know you won't let yourself down. Hang in there and I'll see you in Dallas on Aug 31. You're still the one.

I was in tears when I heard what happened to you. I know you will get through this because you have many people who love you. I am so glad you can say hey ya kno i need to get help because many people can't even admit that much and we, the fans, are so proud of you. Everyone your family, friends, the guys, and your fans are behind you 110%. All the fans that pray I know will be keeping you in their prayers I definetly will be keeping you in mine. Words cannot express how proud i am of you. I know it took a lot of courage to admit you have a problem but sweetie you just took the hardest step. Things will get better from here (trust me i know from experience). Never lose sight of god. I am along with many others are praying for you. You were (and still are) an inspiration to me and many others in hard times. We are supporting you 110%. What can I say? Bone I always thought that you were an amazing person, but now after hearing the news I KNOW that you truly are an amazing person! It took alot of courage, strength and faith to admit that you had a problem and needed help. You've been there for not only me the past 6 years but other fans too. You have shared your many talents with us and inspired many people both young and old. As a Backstreet Boys fan it is my turn and pleasure to give back to you by praying for you, the rest of the BSB and also your family! I know you can make it through this! I know you can make it through this because it takes alot to make it in the type of industry you work in and as the most respected "boy band" you have surcomed your many ups and downs. First off I want to say that you have made the biggest step in admitting you have a problem. I know that these 30 days will be very hard for you and everyone that cares about you, but remember that this is the best thing you can do for yourself.
