I adore and admire the Backstreet Boys. And now, with what happened to AJ, I have all the more reason to. Despite the critics and the media, he enrolled for his mom, his friends, the guys, and US -the fans. They really do care and they aren't afraid to face the public. All I can do now is pray...and marvel and AJ's courage. I love you all - just keep on keepin' on!

AJ~We all have difficulties in our lives that we have to deal with, however, you have been given an exceptionally heavy burden. Some will see this as a way to cut down on the group, but they don't matter. What matters is the millions of fans you have in the world who want to show you their support. After getting over the initial shock of it all, and the disappointment over having their show cancelled, I'm sure most fans want nothing more than for you to recover as quickly as possible. Your health is more important than any show in the world. Aside from that, know that there is one Person who is always there for you even when everyone else has turned their backs on you. He understands your pain, and offers you comfort in more ways than you know. To Brian, Kevin, Howie, and Nick: As if you didn't have enough to deal with already, now you have to see one of your own in pain. It took a lot of courage from you all (including AJ) to accept the fact that he needs help. I applaud your courage, and I pray that he recovers quickly. It makes me proud to state that I am a Backstreet Boys fan, because when faced with such a problem you are not ashamed of him. You love him as a brother and it shows in the way you handled the whole situation. Thank you for being honest with us (the fans) and not lying about the reason you were postponing your shows. I have been a Backstreet fan for six years now and AJ has been a strong role model to me since I am a singer myself. AJ, i want to send all my prayers to you today and everyday until you get better. I also want to say "hang in there" to Nick, Howie, Kevin, and Brian. I know this is tough on all of you, dont give up hope. I recently had a friend kill herself from depression so I know what your going through. The Backstreet boys are brothers to me and It hurts me to see them like this. I know AJ is a strong individual and I know that he will get through this. Once again my family and I send AJ and the rest of the group our blessings. AJ,
On Monday, July 9th, I found myself and many of my friends in shear agony over the news of your entrance to rehabilitation. Not only were there tears but also disbelief. Feelings that only fans know. Thinking to ourselves, 'what went wrong?' 'When did this happen?' 'How did I miss the signs?' And probably the most important question 'how can I help?' However, now that 24 hours has pasted and my head is clear, I can answer these questions on my own terms. Now, it isn't sadness that I feel, its pride. I'm not afraid to tell people how proud I am of you. Hell, I don't know you, but I know how hard it is to feel alone and to ask for help. Now, I know the only thing I can do is pray for you and have hope. I believe that you're a strong person and I also believe that you have many strong people surrounding you everyday to help make this process as easy as possible. Stay cool AJ and remember, you deserve the best. Kudos to you and all the other guys for staying tough and doing what you love and what keeps you HAPPY!

I was devastated yesterday to hear the announcement about A.J. Being a huge fan of BSB, I felt completely helpless. They have made some of the darkest days and happiest days of my life better because of how wonderful they are. Knowing in my heart what they have done for me I wish that there was something that I could do for them in this time of saddness. I am so happy that A.J is getting help. The only thing I can do is pray everyday for him and the rest of the guys. I hope they find solace in each other and their families and they get back on the road soon.
