AJ,
I am so happy for you. I know that if I was in your situation I wouldn't be a strong enough person to go get help. I had my first drink when I was 13 years old, and once I started I thought it was the only way I could ever feel happy. Luckily, alcohol wasn't available to me every time I wanted it, so I wasn't too bad. But I was depressed, until I found the one other thing that made me happy, and it was your music. You've inspired me in so many ways. And now you made me realize that drinking isn't something that I should be doing, especially since I'm so young. So I promised myself not to drink anymore, even when I'm old enough. Thankyou so much AJ! I love you more than you could ever know!!To Brian, Nick, Howie and Kevin~I know this is probably one of the hardest things you've ever gone through and I think that the way you're standing beside AJ and supporting him shows how great of friends and all around people you are. Taking time off from your tour, which is your career and passion is something that I'm sure AJ is very greatful of. I will really miss seeing you but I support you and love you for it! You are beautiful people and wonderful friends!! I love you guys!!

I am a "mature" BSB fan and have been for 4 years now. Props to all of the Boys for dealing with this head on.
AJ - please concentrate on yourself. You deserve as much time as needed for a complete recovery. Every one of us is behind you 100 percent. We want you back happy and healthy to finish the Boston shows too!. If that's 30 days from now or one year from now, we'll be there. You guys are the best and hopefully fans will learn from this. Hang in there and we all love you! Just think about the song "Time" - it moved me whenever you sang it on June 29th in Hartford. Use the words to help you move forward. AJ - You are beautiful person and I wish I knew you personally!

I know the Backstreet Boys have tons of fans -mostly female- but I love their music just as much as any other fan (I’m a max martin junkie) except I happen to be a guy. Another thing is I have depression and anxiety and am just starting my way into getting help. When I heard that AJ has the same problem and is getting help too, in an odd way I feel better, knowing that Im not alone, and that this can happen to anyone. I wish him all the best and hope that all goes well for him, and if he does read this, I hope he feels the same lifting of spirits that I did knowing that we aren’t alone in this fight. You are a very brave person. Not many people have the amount of courage you have to face their problems and the fact that they do indeed need help. THANK YOU for admitting it not only to us but to YOURSELF. Always know that the people close to you are there for you, loving you and supporting you every step of the way. You are strong.I know you can beat this.I don't know if this makes any sense at all but i'm just going to write what i feel.You don't know me, and I only know about you what you tell me. I wish i knew something to say to make it all better but i don't know what. All i know is that i am behind you 100%. As i know a lot of people are. You have completed the first step buy seeking help. I want you all to know that i am with you as i am with Aj, I kinda know what its like to see a loved one go through a hard time.My father, when i was young, had a problem with depression, he is okay now. This must be hard for you too. I can only imagine. You and Aj bring so much happiness to so many poeple i only wish there was something i could do to help now. All I can say that I am extremely saddened to see that this has happened to AJ. I am sure he has the courage, strength, and love to pull through this. After watching the other 4 boys on TRL yesterday and today, I know that they can and will stick together throughout eternity. Seeing their sadness, and worrysome for AJ only made me more upset over the issue. I just hope AJ remember in his heart, the 5 billion fans, who would do anything in this WORLD to make him the happiest, healthiest person in the universe! We love you AJ! KTBSPA!

Now that I have gotten help I feel so much more free of that part that makes you lonely and scared to speak that only lets you cry in a dark room alone and scared.I now you will be better and cried when I found out becouse I felt that my star has fallen what do you do when your star has fallen .But then I though about and your no longer my star.... Your my hero because you cared enofe about your fan and family keep yourself in that state anylonger.Now with your help I will never fall back into my old state . I will never be in a dark room for longer then it takes to find the light . I know you will some day hopefully soon will be in the same way With much love

AJ, my heart and wishes for recovery go out to you. I know what you're going through with the depression and anxiety. The only help I can offer is to say that it DOES get better.
