A.J, I prayed for you last night for you to get better. I am so proud of you for getting help. I have
seen so many people in the entertainment industry fall victim to alcohol and substance abuse and it ended
their careers. I am sooo relieved that you are getting the help you need now, when your so young.To the rest of the BSB, my heart goes out to you. I cried for you when I saw you on television telling the
world about AJ. I know you consider him a brother, like family, and I can't even begin to understand how painful
this must be to see him go through this. Just remember that getting him help is the best thing you could of done
and that you guys are helping him immensely. I wish I could be there to give you guys a hug. And lastly to the fans. I am SOOO proud and happy that the bsb fans are standing by the boys like this. I was
so worried when they made the announcement that some fans may turn against them. But I have seen such an outpouring of
love and support for the boys, its amazing. I am so proud to be a backstreet fan:) Shannon

Dear AJ,
I have so much admiration and respect for not only yourself, but for the four other men that make up the Backstreet Boys. I can't exactly say that I know what your going through, because I don't know you and I can't possibly understand the emotions that run through you, but I do know that you have an amazing group of fans, and four amazing guys behind you all the way. I amire you for seeking help, and I know first hand how hard it is to admit you have a problem. You showed great strength and guts when you did what you did, and I know that not only myself, but millions of other people, people that arn't even Backstreet fans are proud of you. As for Kevin, Brian, Howie, and Nick thank you for telling us fans what was happening first off, and not sweeping it under the rug. It means a lot to us. More than you might know. AJ I know you can get through this. I have faith in you, and so does everyone else. Get better soon, we all miss you, and your in my prayers.

A.J. I love you, i put up a picture of you in my room with flowers next to it to show how much i worry and care for you. I think you guys truly are men, i don't think any other celebrities would have told the truth and told their fans what has happened i really trust you all for that. When i heard the news this morning about A.J. i started crying and would not stop because i love you guys soooooo much i do not want anything to happen to any one of you. You guys are my life and if something happened to anyone of you guys i think i would have a heartatack, you don't believe how much i love you guys. Again i love you A.j. don't give up and i will worry and pray for you 'til the day you are better! I love you with all my heart A.J.

Hey honey. Yesterday, I found out some horrible news. I had heard on the radio, that you are going to rehab to help your alcohol abuse and depression/anxiety. When I heard it, I was in shock. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. But, I believe that with the love and support from your fans, family, and friends, the prayers, and God, will get you through this. I am upset. I am angry, but dedicated. I will, along with all of the rest of your fans, stand by you and the rest of the Boys (Backstreet Boys) through all of this. I would want to send A.J the best wishes in the world.He is one of my biggest influences just as the Backstreet boys are.

Heard what you are going through and wanted to give you my families Best Wishes.I also have and still do suffer from anxiety and also sometime Deppression. I also had to seek help. I know it my seem that this Black Cloud hanging over your mind is there to stay but it is not. You can't just snap out of it though as some people think. They don't understand what you are suffering from is a physical problem. It is not your fault or just in your head. My daughters and I love the Back Street Boys and have seen your concerts every time you all come around. You are such an important part of the show. At times I think You make the show . You are such an ASSUME entertainer. It is your God given gift. And he wants you to use it. You make people happy with it. I am praying for you and I know all will be well. God is in control. If you could say a little pray and give all the junk that is going on in your head to him. He will not let you down . And either will your fans. We love you and your Music. You make us happy. I know as long as AJ feel that he is doing the right thing he will get better. When I first heard the news I was shocked but now I've calmed down because I know as long as he is trying to get help he will get better. I just hope for the best for AJ, the rest of BSB, and AJ's family because I know god is on your side and with god you can accomplish anything.

I just wanna say that I love AJ and I hope he get's better. I hope he realizes that alcohol doesn't help you when you are depressed. It makes you stay depressed. I will keep him in my prayers everynight. All he needs is prayer, faith, and

AJ~I was woken up this morning by my mother yelling to me that "...the Backstreet Boys are gonna be on TV!!" Naturally I jumped out of bed and waited for the news. I don't watch MTV much anymore so I had no idea of why just the four guys were there. I was so excited, but it soon faded when I saw their faces. They were all clearly upset, and like a mirror, so was I. That's just typical. You're hurrying along trying to lead your own crazy life, and then, out of the blue, Wham! It was the greatest contrast to what I was expecting to hear; some nice chatty conversation on Black & Blue. I'm not the type of person to change my entire perspective of someone just because of a little shortcoming.
You are no exception. For the past 2 and a half years I have been enamored with the Backstreet Boys. Call me a freak but I have every single burger king CD, etc. You know, useless backstreet paraphernalia that I'll never use because it's too pretty. After reading countless biographies and interviews, and watching you guys on TV, I feel like I know you, like I can relate to you. Obviously, this isn’t completely true. You know what I mean, though. I know some people's image of you (and possibly of the other guys too) will be from now on forever tainted. But for any true fan, not now, not ever. We will always love you for YOU. (And besides-everyone makes mistakes!) So I refuse to change my image of you. Quite the contrary. Actually, I think more of you as a person for getting up the courage to speak out and admit that you had a problem. I know that takes guts, but you owe it to yourself and to your brothers. See, the Bsb are mine and other girls’ role models. Although it must be rough for you, I can assure you this is a good example you are setting. We are so glad that you are doing the right thing. It is important to keep in mind that you have so many people out there willing to stand by you in your time of need.
