If AJ ever reads this, I just want to tell him not to pay attention to the media, or even fans who are freaking out because they think the group is perfect. You have to just focus on yourself and getting better, because that's all that most of us really care about. You're not stupid for getting into this. It could happen to anybody. It's happened to people close to me. But you know what? Those people didn't even have the strength to admit they had a problem. They waited until everything got complicated. Let's just say that that sucked. I'm glad you did what you did. Thank you for being an inspiration to me, along with the rest of the guys.

A.J. I am so sorry for you and I hope get recover from your problem soon. We all will miss your singing and I know that we wish that you could get out sooner. I am also sorry for you cause of your grandmother. I remember the Kids Choice Awards when you said she passed away. I feel so sorry for you. By the way, just to let you know....you didnt have to turn towards alchohal. Thats what friends are for....duh.

Aj,
You are strong and will survive. Don't be pressured to recover in 30 days...take as much time as you need because your health is all that matters to us... I know what it is like o be addicted to alcohol and you can beat it... I also understand the depression compounded by the death of a VERY close family member... You are strong, God has given the give of music not to become rich and famous but to use it to survive life's trials, use your gift to help you recover to the AJ we all know and love. HE loves you and will not desert you I will pray for you and I know you will be strong because of this moment and I patiently await the day when you return to us whole and full of life and song.

Dearest AJ,Sometimes life throws you things that you can't seem to handle, but that is life and you work threw it day by day, minute by minute, second to second. Your not alone with this, you have wonderful family and friends, and your fans we will support and love you threw everything. We're not sad, mad, or judgmental, we are happy that your getting help, that takes so much courage, we're proud, proud that your brave enough to face your problems and share it with all of us, with the world. Most of all we love you and want you to know that we have been in your shoes. I have personally dealt with everything your going through, and AJ it can be over come, just don't stop believing in yourself. And don't stop believing that you have a lot of people who are praying and loving you everyday. AJ you and the BSB have been with us fans everyday, every minute of our lives. When we didn't get our dream date to homecoming or our first love told us it was over and we came home crying. All we had to do was turn on our stereo's to hear 'I'll Never Break Your Heart' and our tears dried and a smile formed on our lips. Graduating from High School and going off to college, so scared of all the changes and leaving friends and family we just listened to 'Perfect Fan', 'I Want It That Way' and we felt so much better and a little less home sick. Fun times at clubs, parties or just dancing around our apartment cleaning we had, 'Everybody', 'Don't Want You Back', 'The Call'. Stepping out into the "REAL WORLD" man that was just ready to give us a mental breakdown, bills, serious relationships, marriage, children, houses, we had 'Shape Of My Heart', 'Yes I Will'. I personally fit into all those categories, but your music, and honesty has touched me so much, I dealt with death, my father, alcoholism, and depression. With a lot of love from family and friends I made it through, Backstreet Boys your music always helped me so much, like 'Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely', 'What Makes You Different, Makes You Beautiful'. So AJ your not alone, we love you and will pray everyday and night for you. For you to find happiness and peace of mind. AJ get well soon, we love you. KTBSPA! Love and Prayers,

Hey Aj!! We just heard what happened and we know you can get through it and your not alone!! Your fans and family and friends and the guys are all here for you! Were all praying for you! We love you! AJ, I just wanted you to know, you aren't alone. I have been dealing with depression and anxiety for 7 years and I'm only 19. At sixteen, I tried to kill myself, and was admitted into a psychiatric hospital. It was the hardest time of my life. But, if I hadn't gone, I wouldn't be here today. It has taken 7 seven HARD years to get here, but I feel better than ever and your music has played a big part in my success. You guys and your music means more to me than you know. Especially you. I doubt you remember this, but I was the girl in Raleigh, NC on June 13, jumping up and down on her chair, in second row by the small stage wearing a shirt with your name on it in giant letters. When you gave me a thumbs up and said "great shirt" to me, it was the most unbelievable moment ever.
See how you've changed my life? I just wanted you o know what you mean to me. I am forever your "perfect fan". I'll be thinking of you.

You're going through a tough time in your life but it's one you can overcome. It took tremendous courage to come forward with your problems and if the same courage is directed at getting well you should be in good shape. I write to you not out of pity or sympathy, but out of support and encouragement. As someone who has experienced first hand the demons of depression, I tell you this: Beating it is a continuing process, but you as a person are worth fighting for, your life is worth saving. But only you can save yourself. Counselors and Rehab are a guide, but you have to want it and make the effort. As a survivor and longtime fan, I wish you the best of luck. Keep faith in yourself and look to your heart when the road gets rough...thats where you will find the most strength. The time is now. Jaime

Dear A.J. yesterday while I was watching TRL and Nick,Brian, Kevin and Howie announced that you had decided to go to Rehab I was bombed, I started to cry but then I realized that what you were doing was very good for yourself. I can't tell you how much I love your songs and your personality, but what I love the most about you is the great human being you are I know that you are a tough guy and you'll never let anybody or anything get on your way to happinness. Hey AJ! Right now a lot of fans are mainly worried about the concert but I'm sure right now that's the least of your worries. I really hope that you are feeling a whole lot better soon. Alcoholism is a seroius prob that effects a lot of people. I hope you get over this not just for the fans and the band but for yourself. It's important! Remember you have millions of fans around the world rooting you on! I will always love you no matter what . . .I discovered BSB in 95 and have stuck by you! In Rolling Stone they said that your a band that has had a lot of crap thrown at you but keep walking. Just keep walking! You're in my prayers!
