I love you and the rest of the boys very much. I want you to know that I have been a fan from the beginning and that I will always be one no matter what. It took a great amount of courage to admit you had a problem.I hope you get better soon so you can reunite with the rest of the boys and continue to create the beautiful music that brings so much joy to millions of peoples' lives and especially mine.

Backstreet will forever be the greatest, most talented band in the world. Every fan out there wants the best for all of them and right now our prayers go out to A.J. for a fast and well recovery. All we want is for him to be healthy and as happy as possible...it was courageous of him to come out and admit of his problem and to get help...all his fans will be behind him through it....good luck

Good luck AJ. Admitting you have a problem is the hardest step, and you've made that, so you're well on the way. I hope you get well ASAP, not for the fans, or the band, but for yourself. There is so much support for you and we all wish you well.

I'm so happy that you are taking a very serous problem and getting treatment for it. You have know become my hero for the fact that you stood up and said "I need help" and that takes a very big and strong person. I only wish you the best of sucess and recovery for a hard and addicting habit. You should take all the time you need to get better because when you are reocvered your fans will be proud of what you have done for your soul and health! It's amazing what you and the other 4 guys of Bsb have given to this world. With your amazing voices, you've healed, mended, and brought forth happiness to SOOO many people. With your kind hearts, you participated in so many charities, and helped so many people. As a major fan, it's my turn to tell you how much u are appreciated. Alex, you are so incredible. Incredible is such an understatement. You are so unique in so many ways, and your voice is so cute. You are so adorable, and you have so many talents. With so much to brag about you have remained modest, because of your gentle heart. I love you aj, and when i hear you sing bsb song's with that sooooo great voice of yours, my heart melts. Because you are truly heaven- sent. And i want to take this time to tell you, that i am sooooooo completely proud of you, for facing your problem straight on. Thank you aj. I'm thanking you because you have truly blessed this world with your talents, and as a fan, your problems also become our problems because we love you. So as you enter rehab, we all wish you the best of luck. With no doubt, i know you will conquer this situation, and come out from it, stronger than ever. And bsb, will come out stronger than ever. A lot of people suffer from the things that you are going through right now, but not all of them have the courage to get help. I really appreciate the fact that you let the others tell us what is going on because it shows how much you truly do care about your fans.
My love and support is with you AJ and I will be just as excited to see you in September as I would be in July. May God bless you in every way possible and I hope that you get 110% better. Please don't feel bad in any way that you are letting your fans down...I'm sure you are inspiring many people to get the courage to admit their problems.

Dear Aj,I heard about what happened to you yesterday on the radio and started crying. I feel so bad but look on the bright side you are in the state that my grandparents live in .I know how it feels to lose a grandmotherbecause I lost mine two years before you lost yours. I feel so bad for you and hope that you will get better soon .

wow. i cant believe what has happened. when i first heard, and saw the guys on trl, i was heartbroken. i saw you singing, and you were just so lost and lonely. i just want to let you know that telling people, and coming out with the truth was an extremly brave step. i am so happy that you were able to admit that you needed help, and did it before it was too late. all that we, the fans, care about now is that you get better. i would rather wait 3 years for a concert, then to go on without you. my heart and soul is with you now and our prayers are with you. we love you very much.

If I could comment on this in one sentence, it would be Keat's words: "Beauty is truth, truth beauty." It is used in A Tree Grows In Brooklyn, where a teacher condemns the heroine's drunken father. I never realized what a parallel this is.First of all, nothing but respect would come out of this. Respect for the weaknesses, despair, hope and dreams of humankind. Respect for the world that we live in. Respect for the heart we have beating within us everyday, willing us to search for happiness. Second of all . . . it has to be said. The perfect boyband package is shattered. But in the toppling of the pedestal, we find truth, and beauty in it. Thirdly, I send wishes. Wishes for well-being, wishes for eternal joy. Wishes that may be ignored or blown into the wind, but wishes that are breathed into prayer. Lastly, I say these words: At the bottom of every question, we find that we're all human.

AJ, When I heard the words come out of Kevin's mouth yesterday, I was shattered. I met you about 3 years ago and I still have fond memories of a generous and fun-loving guy. Seeing how distraught your friends were (especially Nick)made me realize how important you are to the group and to the fans. I want you to know that we are all behind you, we support and love you. Take the time to rediscover yourself, get away from "AJ McLean, Backstreet Boy" and return to Alex. As fans, we will do anything you want us to, and help in any way we can.
