Since I heard the news I have been so sad, and everytime I see A.J. or I hear his voice I just get so sad, especially when I see the clip ofthat song that they showed on TRL. Well I just wanna say that A.J. I wish you the best and I know you will get better soon, and if you need more than 30 days take as long as you need. We will still be here with you till the end. I will pray for you like all the other fans. And have faith in GOD he will help you, because HE loves you and HE loves us all. Ok listen, its hard for me to say this since ive been a fan for almost 8 years, When i seen how Aj acted it all came together, I new something was wrong and im glad Backstreet didnt keep it from us they told us the truth, and when i seen Nick Cry on MTV NEW U HEAR IT FIRST, i started crying myself, i want everyone to know that im going to be a fan no matter what and like Brian said "i dont ever see an end to the backstreet boys" ... And I hope Noone else does either...please keep voting. If Backstreet Boys Take Some Time Off..Dont think there gone ...Please keep voting Keep being a DeVOTED fan, because where what keeps backstreet boys...The backstreet boys....I love All of you fans... my screen name is Nick gene Carter if you would like to talk to me ill always be here to talk about backstreet boys, because backstreet boys are always #1 in my heart...

When I found out what had happened to you, I just couldn't stop crying it really broke my heart. We all hope you get better really soon and I hope us fans also help you get through your problem. You have touched so many lives all around the world with your wonderful voice and kind heart. You have pesonally touched my heart and brought happiness in my life...and so have the rest of the guys.
I want to thank You for being honest to millions of people, including me, about your situation.
I feel bad and yet happy at the same time. I am relieved that you have the courage to tell all your fans the truth and I admire you so much.

What had to be said has already BEEN said...so what should I contribute? AJ, (and to all who read this) I've been in the exact same position as you are right now. I was depressed, and instead of turning to alcohol, I turned to food as a comfort source. I think it's pretty safe to say that he is (speaking from my experience) in desparate need of support (which all of you are giving him plenty of...) & love. Everything that he is going through is pretty much a so-called "side effect" of stardom. For various reasons, he felt the need to indulge in alcohol to compensate for all of the issues he should have dealt with head-on. I'm not trying to be a bitch, I'm just saying the facts. And especially since he is such a courageous, sweet, beautiful, and better person than I ever could be; I hope more than anyone that he combats this disease & comes back with more fervor than ever!
I have nothing but love for you Alex, you are a brave person for doing what you're doing. As for the rest of the BSB:
You guys (especially Howie) have watched this boy grow up, you've watched in his low times, you've been there for him as you guys should have been. And in the celebratory times, you've rejoiced with him, you've toasted with him, you've loved him every step of the way. Nick, I can completely understand your emotions right now (I know you care a lot about him). Howie, don't be pessimistic (being an optimist is probably your best quality)about AJ's condition. Kevin, you've been there too, being the "big brother" & watching out for him and caring about him. And Brian, you've been there as well, with your kind, pleasing manner. Not one of you have ever judged him wrongly, or done him any ill will, and you've always been there for him. Finally, to all my fellow BSB fans:

what to say that hasnt already been said perfectly by so many fans.....
alot of people think that celebrities have this wonderful life. that they dont have problems just b/c they have money and fame, but you ( and the guys) have proven them wrong by opening up to your fans and sharing the problem. i personally thank you for doing such a brave thing and actually acknowledging to yourself.
my prayers of course go out to you and your family through this rough time. just know that the Lord is here for you like he always has and know that you arent alone. God is holding your hand and he WILL walk you through this completely.

I don't even know where to start. I guess I can just add to the chorus of voices. Aj, we're praying for you and we hope you get better. When my grandfather died in 1996, I went through one of the darkest times in my life. Depression is not to be taken lightly and no one deserves to be in that much pain. We are praying for you. And don't worry about the fans still being there after you get back, or the resceduled shows, we will wait and will always be there.Nick, Howie, Kev & Brian: Our prayers go out to you as well, we know you must be hurting too. Anyone that follows backstreet knows how close you five are, and when one of you is in pain, you all are in pain. Hopefully this will serve as a reminder that none of this, the concerts, the videos, even the music, is more important than you guys as human beings. We love you and are praying for you.

I thought that what u did was very couragious,not very many people in that situation relise they have a problem or seek help.so I give u all the credit in the world.Yes I was disapointed that u wern't coming the date u had planned ,but u feeling good and having to come at a later date is better then coming and not feeling good.U have the complete support of all your fans,your family,and the rest of the band.

Dear AJ,
It is hard for me to put into words how much I care about you. All that is important to me right now is that you get better and that you find happiness in life. With out the BSB I don't even think I'd be alive today. I owe much of my happiness to you. You give me a reason to smile. I also have suffered from depression for years. There was a time when I no longer wanted to live and considered suicide. But being a fan of you guys and seeing your dreams come true gave me hope that maybe mine would come true some day too. I don't care how long it takes you to get well, take all the time you need. Your happiness means more to the fans than a few concerts. We support you in all that you do. I hope that knowing how much I and the rest of the fans love you will give YOU a reason to smile.

AJ,
I'm so proud of you and I'm so glad you finally realized that you needed help, and thank God you're finally getting it. I want you to know that you're in the minds of so many fans that care so much about you. We've been praying since we heard the news. I was crying cause I knew I would miss not seeing your beautiful face for 30 days then I realized that your health was more important. I wrote you a poem, which is really weird cause I don't know how to write but I tried. We can't wait to welcome back the new and improved AJ with open arms. As for the fans "I know we can win this" and AJ "You don't know, how you touched my life, oh in so many ways I just can't describe."
