I understand what you`re going through.I had depression too.While it wasn`t from my grandma dying(I send my regards to you)I had basically the same thing you did but I got over it.Well sort of.I still have some.I have something to tell you-taking that alcohol is wrong.You have to stop.When you have the time which is now,you gotta cry.Who cares if the replusive media reports on it.This is your time.Some day you`ll accept your grandmother`s death and be cured.But the day won`t come soon.My grandmother is also very near and dear to me.If she died I don`t know what I`d do.I`m 16 right now.Had it for a year.Two things to remember:cry whenever you need to and most important of all remember that all your fans are behind you hoping you get better soon.Peace and luv.Feel better soon

AJ, I just want you to know that all the fans are behind you and we all want you to get better no matter how long it takes! I know this is hard. My mom went through what your going through now and it was just as hard on me as it was her. And I know all your family and friends are feeling your pain to. All that matter's is that you get better. And remeber being a Backstreet Boy is what you do not who you are.

Although we don't know each other, I want you to know that I couldn't live without the knowledge that you're alright. For the past five years, I've
looked up to you as my idol and role-model, not for your crazy style, but because you were always strong to carry things on and now I know it won't be different.
Asking for help, you showed everyone that you care about yourself, and that's the most important thing.

Hey, I am so proud of you AJ. It takes a really strong man to stand up and admit that he has a problem and then get help for it himself. I really admire you for that! I have been a fan of BSB's since 1993 and I will be one forever! I love you so much for what you do for your fans! You don't try to be someone you aren't and I love that about you, as do millions of people around the world! Dear Aj!God is with you at this difficult time, he is the one that sent angels by your side to help you see the problems you were facing, I am truly proud of your strentgh, you are not alone the other boys are totally behind you 100% and your fans truly love you and support you and we do not judge you, we love you for who you are and will wait as long as it takes to see you get well. AJ and the Backstreet Boys,First off I'd just like to say that I Love You and will ALWAYS be here for you. I am the fan from Canada who made the Backstreet Boys posters outfit and met you on Much Music. Ok, when I came to Backstreet.net today and saw the "post thoughts and prayers to AJ" thing I saw that there were 195 pages and I figured someone's automatic reaction to that would be "Why do they need one more?" but then when I thought about it more I realized that 195 pages doesn't mean anything. I love and support you guys through absolutely anything and just because however many *blessed* people do doesn't mean I should leave it to them. Your fans will be there for you through absolutely anything. That is a promise. AJ, you wouldn't believe how unbelievably proud I was of you when I heard you were going to rehabilitation. I was upset of course but when I cried I wasn't only crying because people wouldn't get to your concerts yet, or because it's sad that you have a drinking problem or even because your depressed. Yes, I cried for these reasons too but I was also so impressed that you had the courage to finally admit you had to do something to fix your problem. Everytime I think about this situation it makes me cry but it just makes my love for you guys even stronger. And Nick *my favorite boy ;~)* I will also be praying for the quick recovery of your hand. I Love You Now, (this is getting a bit long...sorry) I'm gonna let ya's go.
