AJ -- I am so proud of you for admitting you have a problem and getting help for it. I was shocked when I first heard about it on Monday, because when I went to the July 3rd show at the Tweeter Center in Camden, you and the rest of the Boys put on a great show. I've loved you guys since 1996, and when I saw Nick, Brian, Kevin, and Howie on TRL on Monday, I cried. But you are so brave to be able to go into rehab and to do it publically. You and the guys have always been honest to us fans, and this is just another great example. I mean, y'alls could have just swept it under the rug, but since you've told everyone, you could have just stopped some kid out there who wanted to try alcohol or something. You just helped someone who was depressed *like me* realize that they need to get the proper treatment and tell someone. Thanks to you, I am know getting the help I need and overcoming my own obstacles with the support of my family. I just want you to know that you are in my prayers and I wish you the best of luck and hope you become a stronger person because of this. Remember -- every cloud has its silver lining, and it is just so awesome that you've decided to get help. The first step in getting better is realizing you have a problem, and you've already done that. You're an inspiration to all us fans out there and we love you. Best wishes AJ!

AJ honey, I´m so proud of you. It takes a lot of courage to admit that you have a problem. I know that things are not easy right now but soon they will get better. You know that you have our support and our love don´t you? All my prayers and thoughts are with you.
Every night before I go to bed I say a little pray for my grandfather (God rest his soul) and for all my family and friends you included.
Sometimes life puts us to tests. This is your test and you will win.

AJ, I just want to say, that I'm proud of you, this is the first step to be ok. I know, you will make it, because you are a strong man. A.J.,
I was deeply saddenned by the announcement of your depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse. My grandfather is currently going through the same thing (without the alcohol consumption), and I know how hard it must be for you to be going through this. Despite the bad news, I really appreciate the fact that the group let the fans know exactly what was going on. This effort helps us share the pain and agony that you are going through. A.J., although you may feel that no one can help and understand you, always know that your family, groupmates, friends, and fans will always be behind you. I know that it took a lot of courage and strength to take the step that you have taken. I know that you will presevere through these tough times and become a stronger person from what you have learned. There are so many people out there who respect you so much for what you are doing; there are so many people out there with problems that don't do anything about it; let you be an example to all those people. I know that everything will work out for the best for you and the rest of the guys. Hey AJ,
I wanted to tell you how cool you are by getting the help you need. People who lose a close loved one go through a stressful time. I know because when my grandma passed away, my mom broke out in a patchy rash on her body. Her parents were very close to my family because we lived in the same city and lived about 6 blocks away. My grandparents were like second parents too, we even lived with them when I was a little girl. I know how it feels to lose a couple of nice second parents that I will always have in my heart.
I just wanted to tell you that you are always in my thoughts and prayers, just like all the other Backstreet fans. We want you back in that spotlight shaking your booty and singing for us.
