Hey AJ. I know that you are going through a very hard time right now well with your father leaving you and thea person you really love dying. I cant blame you, I myself have been through a tough time with my family my grandmother died about a week after yours did. I was so sad because she was always ther for me and the way that i found out that she died was even worse. my parents they dont have a good relationship. I have to tell you that i am really proud that you had the courage to get help and i really respect you for that to because most people wel ones that are celeberties would not have the courage to admit tha they have a problem because of there reputation i am proud of you and i just want you to know that i am there for you mabey not in person but in spirit and i am praying for you and i no for a FACT that you will get better because you are a confident and wonderful guy. miss you alot peace

AJ,
I really hope that you get better soon!! I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother, I know how you feel about losing a grandparent since I lost both my grandpa and grandma in the same week 6 years ago. I was supposed to go to your concert in Toronto on July 28th with my two friends but now I have to wait till september. Which is fine with me because than you'll hopfully be feeling better and the concert will be totally and completly awesome! Anyways, I'm praying for you and so is my parents even though they are not really Backstreet Boys fans! Hope you get better soon!!

Dearest AJ,I'm so proud of you to have taken a step like this. This has really made me admire you even more than before because not a lot of people come open about their problems and/or are willing to get any help. My grandfather began to drink when he was 15, back in El Salvador, and it wasnt until he was 79, so he spent over 60 years of his life drunk.
Right now, what you're going through hurts, but it would hurt even more if you decided to be like my grandfather and thank God that you didn't turn out like that.
Boy, I really love you because you as well as the group as a whole have helped me cope with my parents' divorce a couple years back and without the music, without the Backstreet Boys, I might have fallen into depression myself.
AJ, I truly wish you the best and I hope you get better. I hope to see you on the 13th of August. :)

Hey A.J., I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking of you all the time and hoping you are getting the help you need to bring you back to us real soon.I am so proud of you admitting you have a problem and getting help for it, most people don't admit it and have bigger problems down the road. I know you will be OK, because you are a very strong guy and the love and support of your fans, family and of course your brothers (Nick, Kevin, Howie & Brian)will bring you back to us safe and sound and happy.
A.J. take care of yourself and don't worry about a thing but getting better, because everyone is behind you 100% and can't wait to hear that gorgeous voice of yours again very soon. I am counting on seeing you in NJ on Sept. 7th, but if you still need more time I and everyone else will understand.

AJ: i just wanted to say that you are in my heart and my prayers. i want to tell you that i think of you as a very brave and smart young man who realized and accepted he has a problem and looked for help. you have to get well soon for Alexander James McLean and nor for BSB or your fans. I know that me, every single fan in the world, the bsb and the people who loves you are behind you a 110%. we will also be behind you all the way and in whatever comes next.

I just wanted to say how proud I am of you for making the decision to get some help with the problems you are facing right now.When I heard the news all I wanted to know was were you ok. I cant even begin to imagine how you feel right now but I just wanted to say that no matter what you have to go through me and the rest of your fans will do our best to make sure you dont go through this alone.
