There is always someone who loves you. I'm not just talking about all the fans or people who send you false support during hard times. You will always have true love around you. Just take the time to find it and appreciate it. Hey AJ, how ya doing? I'm hoping that you're feeling better, and I hope u keep feeling better until your 100% and ready to go do what you love,.. go on stage and make music! Thats where I want you to be too! I'm with your family, Nick, Brian, Howie, Kevin, you, and the fans on the support of you to get healthy again. I know you were very close to your grandmother. I was close to my grandpa then he died, so I DO know what your going through and I know its not easy, but life isn't easy. I know that your grandmother is watching over you right now so she is still with you in spirit and to help you make a recovery. When I saw on Monday that TRL was going to have "breaking news" I had to watch, being a dedicated fan and such. Well, when I heard, "AJ's in rehab", my heart and soul just sank to the bottom of the sea! I thought the news was going to be about Nick's hand, thats serious too don't get me wrong, but about AJ in rehab? I just started to shed tears because I was so scared and worried about you. I know that you are in good hands though. I really hope that you are able to perform come the 8th of August. But if your not, I'll completey understand. I just want to see you in Kansas City and see you healthy! Thats all I care about our my 5 guys (the Backstreet Boys) healthy in mind, body and spirit! McLean." This has been my wish and prayer for the last few nights and it will continue to be for many more. I know things are tough right know. I lost the woman who was like a second mother to me also. But through support from friends, the grace and love of my Savior Jesus Christ, and a few backstreet songs, I pulled through it. The support from your fans is amazing, if only you could see it ALL. People who aren't even BSB fans are writing in and supporting you, I've never seen anything like it. You truly are a loved man. Many fans were and are concerned and proud to the point of tears. I know I was. You are an amazing and wonderful person. After all the times you were there for me, without even knowing it, I want you to know that I'm here for you. You CAN and WILL beat this, we all know its true. I love you, miss you, and wish you well soon. My prayers are for you. We will all be strong for you. I believe in you. Step by step, day by day, you will recover and come back better than ever. You mean more than you know to so many people.

I am glad you are getting help and I pray for you everday. I think that for the rest of you guys that its good you came out with this and didn't hide it, for we all know it would be uncovered someday. AJ. We all love and care about you. We want you to get better. We want you to know we support you 100%. We adore you for admitting what you did. We will always treasure you in our hearts for being there when we needed, through your music and your words, and now we must be there for you when you need us. We are not mad. ~A.J.~ I can't even begin to tell you how proud I am that you realized you could'nt make this problem go away by yourself and you decided to get help! Your fans are here for you through this tough time. You are very strong and I admire you for that! I know that by telling going public with your problem you will help many, many people. AJ, I truly hope you are on the road to recovery right now. You have proven that you are an amazing person by admitting your problems, and willingly seeking help for them. I know many people who have struggled with depression, anxiety, and substance abuse in the past, and I've seen how difficult it can be. I can't even imagine how that difficulty can increase when you are constantly in the public eye! Just know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and everyone close to you, and that I love you! Thanks for being a great role model by showing your human side and by being honest about everything. You, Nick, Kevin, Howie and Brian have always affected me through your music, and hopefully in some way, these emails from fans are helping to make your recovery at least a little easier. Dear A.J.,
I want you to know that i am so proud of you for deciding to recieve help, and i want Nick, Brian, Howie, and Kevin to know they are being very brave by coming out and telling us fans. You guys treat us with so much respect and its amazing to me. I want you to know that I understand how you feel...my grandpa committed suicide a few months ago... he came by 3 days before it happened and one day i woke up and he was gone.... nothing like that had ever happened to me before and i cried and cried, i didnt know how to handle it...its still so hard for me even now and when i heard that it was the death of your grandma that was part of all of this, i knew that i wasnt alone on how im feeling.... i miss him so much but A.J. just knowing that your out there and you know what it feels like to lose somebody you love helps me its really helps me. Thank you for helping so many people, I will always support the backstreet boys because you guys support me in my time of need with your beauitful voices and lyrics. I dont think theres any way i can give back to you what youve given to me. I know you can beat this A.J., i will always have faith in you. And Nick i hope your hand feels better soon :)

To go out and let the media, the press and your fans know of your problem shows honesty. Your decision to come forth and admit to having a problem and knowing & wanting to get help; shows responsibilty. You've proved that you're made of flesh and blood, you're only human. I've been a fan since '95 and since then had great respect towards you. Now I feel even more respect towards you, not only because you're a Backstreet Boy, but because you're a role model. I'm so glad you guys told us the truth and did not lie about this!! that's an amazing thing! I really couldn't believe that you were annoncing such a serious thing...I was just so proud! but I have to say I was a little nervous about the reaction of everyone out there...and I'm pretty sure you were too...and I'm so happy to see almost everyone is with you all the way! not only the fans! I read mail from a lot of other pplz just saying "I'm not a fan but I wish AJ the best of luck" and they were sincere...and I'm a true fan from the heart and I do care about you so much, so that's a very important thing to me, I want you to be happy, jocking around...see you smiling! Dear AJ, When I first heard about what you had been going through from the rest of the guys on TRL on Monday...I was saddened....but I was also happy, relieved and VERY proud of you for admitting you have a problem and you needed to fix it...It takes an incredible man to do that. It also takes a lot of guts to announce to the whole wide world about it too. I want to thank you and the guys for being honest with all of us. I want you to know that every single one of us, the BSB fans, are behind you 110%. We all support you very VERY much....and even though we all look forward to you coming back on tour....we could wait a lifetime or more just so you can be healthy again.
