Aj,
When I first heard about you entering rehab I was shocked! But, I am SO incredibly proud of you! In the beginning I was scared. You see, my Mom was an addict and used to go to rehab time and time again. So, I know that rehab effects people differently, so I guess I was frightened by how it would effect you personally. When I was 9 my Mom passed away (on Nick's birthday! 1/28). The feeling of emptiness and loneliness can only be imagined, but it was there with me and I felt alone. After her death I found the one thing that took away that emptiness, which was the Backstreet Boys. Now I'm 15, and to this day I think all five of you are the greatest people in the world! No, you may not be perfect but that's not what is important, because love isn't about finding the "perfect" person, it's about seeing the imperfect person perfectly. You have helped me through some of the toughest times in my life with your music, and your soul...your so real I can't see how people can't be influenced! Anyway... I wrote a poem for you the night I found out about all of this...here it is, its not the best but it's somethingWhen I heard about your illness and depression too
It made me think back on all the obstacles you've helped me through
A single though of someone as special as you in pain makes me blue
and if i had one wish, I'd wish there was something i could do
For, finding myself in this world would have been impossible without you
And each breath that you take puts a smile on my face, if only you knew...
Aj, I'm so proud of you, you have no clue
It's just another sign to prove that you grew And, one more lesson we've learned together
As long as this world is still turning
And as long as your living, you never stop learning Aj...I love you so much and I wish you all the best in the world, even though you deserve even more! And, one more thing, I would like to thank your Mom...she's awesome, and I couldn't wish to see you with anyone better ... she is so supportive of you and with her help and with your determination I know you can make it through this! Aj if you ever get to read this i just wanna say that I as same as all the fans are here with you supporting you in anything.
Im really proud of you becouse you were strong enough as to admit you had a problem and as to do what you can to fight it, i think it requirs a lot of mental strenght and courage to do it, but thats why i love you so much, becouse you are a really centered and brave person. Whats important in life is not how many times you fall down, but how many times you stand up, and youve always stood up. I have my complete trust and confidence in you and i know that you are gonna make it through this, this is just one of those obstacles that God puts in the way of the people he trust in, he trusts in you and he knows you are going to pass this obstacle, he is just putting some rocks on your way to real happiness, couse a way without rocks wont be exciting, and if all were bright, then how could you know that what your living is great if theres nothing bad to compare with.
Remember that people always think that they have to do a lot of things, and spend years of hard work so in the end they will gain happiness, but the actual happiness is in the rode,in the things that happen to you and that you find in your live so you gotta have your eyes and your arms open couse i know that theyve put a lot of happiness love and good things in your way.
You are a great person, youve given happiness and filled the emptiness in many peoples hearts including mine, thanx to you im one happy girl, so, one of the most important rules in live is to give in orther to recive, and YOU HAVE GIVEN A LOT, so you are gonna RECIEVE A LOT too, its an actual rule, so just hang up a little and you will see.
You are really a speciall guy, and im sure that teh world has many beautiful things waiting for you, i wanted also to thank you for beeing the way you are, becouse you have trully made my life better, you and all the other backstreet boys have filled my heart that was very sad empty and broken. If you didnt exist i dont know what would have happened to me, i know that my life would be reeallly empty sad and meaningless!!

I've already written one of these but i can't say enough how proud i am of you Aj. i have someone in my family who went through the whole thing and it's tough, for everyone. You are doing the right thing even if it is hard. I also wanted to tell you, not that you'll read this, that you should realize how supportive your backstreet brothers are. They went around on EVERY news show i saw to set the record straight for the fans and say how they felt so just realize how many people you have waiting for you to come home.

You may never read this but I'll pray that my words can in some form or fashion fall upon your eyes to inspire you to be happy. It's difficult to live two different lives and be happy with both. Always searching for the meaning of life and why you are created. In one life you enjoy performing and entertaining, yet in the other life you hurt inside from what you lacked as a child. One life overshadowing the other. Something that most people (fans) don't think can ever be, considering that they look at what's on the outside and not the inside. I give you all props on admitting that you have a problem and it needs to be faced. Baby, this is only the beginning to a fresh new start in your life and I pray that you find the meaning of life. I pray that you realize the reason why you are created. I pray that you become happy with both the lives you live (personal and business life).
