Dear AJ,
I know u are going through rough times, but it will all work out for the best. Just remember one thing, your true fans are there for you. The ones all upset about it aren't real fans. You are human and everyone, yes, even the Backstreet Boys, have problems. But just because you are a Backstreet Boy, doesn't mean everyone has to make a big deal. I just wanted you to know that there are true fans out there that do care about you. And I'm one of them. I loved you and the guys before, but I really respect you guys now more than ever. It takes guts to admit something like this, and it takes a real man to admit when he wants help. I want you to know that I pray for you and the guys every night and you will get through this. Just have faith in yourself and God and He will do the rest. And remember, God loves you no matter what. And so do your fans!!

Dear AJ, I just wanted to tell you that I feel so bad about what is happening but I know you are a strong person and you can get through this. You have all of us fans and four amazing bandmates,brothers, and best friends along with your family who are all supporting you and thinking about you, and you have faith in you. I don't know how everything you are going through right now feels, but I do know how it feels to lose a grandmother because I just lost my grandmother 2 weeks ago. It is so hard and the fact that I really didn't have someone with me at the time I found out about her death I did have your guys cd and I knew all I had to do was put it in and you would guys would help me get throught it and thats exactly what your guys music did. I don't know how to thank you guys because your music has helped me through a lot. I just wanted to say that I know you can get throught this and I have faith in you and I think about you all the time and pray. I belive in you, and love you and the rest of the guys. I want you to know that I am so proud of you for being honest about your problem and for getting help. I know that must have taken a lot of courage to do and hopefully you can help someone else out there. But, most of all me and all your fans out there love you so much and just want you to get better soon. I was very surprised and upset to hear about you on TRL Monday but I know at the same time I need to be happy because you're doing the right thing by getting help. AJ,(if u read this which i hope u do!)I have faith in you that you will get better, I have been and will continue praying for you! Just remember that your fans will ALWAYS be there for you! we respect the fact that you are just human(a very talented one though!)and most people go through life knowing someone or actually having a problem of some kind (like a serious problem like drug adiction or alcohal addiction or depression). As a matter of fact, I have been having a problem with that right now too.(depression).Its been kind of a big problem for me latly but I won't show it around anyone, not even family. As if it were perfect timing, as my depression was getting a little worse, you prooved to yourself and to the world that you had enough courage and strength to admit it to your family and closes friends and also the rest of the world! I think thats amazing, I know how hard it is to admit to people stuff like this and you have actually helped me A LOT by showing you had the courage and so can I. I'm not quite ready to tell a lot of people yet because i think it is starting to get a little better. If you ever have a really emotion time or just a time when your really sad or anything, just remember all the good things in your life! You are in the most talented (and hot, hehe) pop group in the world, you have got the best fans who will never let you guys down and will always love you!!! Get well soon! Everyone misses you :)!!!

I'm so incredibly proud of you for coming out and realizing that you weren't happy like you wanted to be, and telling all of us fans took a lot of courage and we appreciate it more than you know. As you guys grow up, so do we and we understand things like this. I wanted to send you my unconditional love and support cause I know you'll be doing better soon and very soon!! Remember, your bestest friend, with the easiest shoulder to cry on during all this, is God. He's there for you no matter what and only He can help you overcome all of this. I just wanna wish ALL the best here to aj! I can't believe something like that'd happen to ANYOne of our BACKSTREET Boys, I've been loving them for years and years... ALthough I read about them whenever I can on the net, magazines, papers...on and from whatever I can find, I guess I don't really known them (as much as I think I do sometimes.. lol)I am shocked when I heard'bout this news...even more now that it IS 'TRUE'. I wish with ALL my heart and soul, that aj will recover-better than ever, aj-you've been so cool and so strong you gotta be strong for urself now..at this critical time..and for the boys. Baby I think I can speak for all the Backstreet fans, AJ fans, along with myself that your are the most wonderful preformer, man, and inspiration for all of us, including myself. Alex, we all love you very, extreamly much and we all know that you will pull through this. We, the fans, and myself all give a standing ovation to you for comming fourth with you addicition to alcohol and depression struggle. I was very sad to hear that you were going throught this, but then got a very comforting feeling when I heard that you were getting help.
