I hope that you are getting better. I had tickets to the July 9th show at the Fleet Center. I am very proud of you for standing up to yourself and getting help. You mean the world to your fans, and your health comes first before anything else. Please take all the time you need to get better, and always know that your fans are always here for you. This is my second post here. I was just sitting here listening to more music and the song "I'm your angel" by Celine Dion and R.Kelly came on. The words really express what I want to say to AJ. So here they are:No mountain to high for you to climb

AJ and the rest of the Backstreet Boys. Thank you for trusting and respecting your fans enough to be honest with us. This news was a shock and has affected me not only as a fan but as a human being. As a fan, I was deeply saddened that AJ has to go through this. You guys have set an example to everyone, in saying you are human and have problems just like everyone else and there is help out there, you just have to want it. Just know you are not alone. Take as long as you need, your fans (including me) will wait. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

When I first heard about A.J. turning himself in for depression and alcoholism, I was shocked. For the first time I realized that fame isn't all glitz and glam. Even though these guys are idols to millions of people around the world, they are still just people with problems of their own. I think that if A.J. can make it through this, that he will inspire and encourage millions of other people all over the world to do the same thing with their own problems. I also think that if A.J. and the rest of the guys make it through this together, then they will be stronger as individuals and as a group and will be able to overcome just about anything life may throw at them. A.J. has already made a huge advancement by admitting to himself and his peers that he has a problem and he deserves much respect and encouragement for that! Way to go A.J.! We all love you and are here for you every step of the way and always will be!

AJ,
I know you most likely won't get a chance to read this, I know that but I still want to write you because you have a special place in my heart. Yes, I am a fan and a fan only, and right now I am sure your family and close knit friends are the only ones who you feel as if care but that is so not the case. It may be hard to believe and I don't blame you but I actually do care, more than you may realise hun. I may just be an outsider from your point of view, but I am an outsider who really cares about you so much. Your health is my main concern, and your happiness. You have to get better, for yourself. Your such a great guy, you don't deserve to be in this pain. But it will be okay. I know its something easy to say on my half but I have so much faith in you. If its not okay, than its not the end, and you have so much willpower AJ. You do. And you are going to have such an amazing success story to tell everyone. Just wait and see. It will take time, but if time is what you need than USE IT! We honestly don't mind how long the concert dates are prostponed until, because we know you will return, without a doubt. I don't even question about you not returning because I have seen you in shows, and I have seen how happy you are up there and how sincere you are to your supporters. And because of that kindness, you are having the same type of gratitude being returned to you. Thats what special people get. I know if you didn't get a chance to read this, thats okay. I am praying and thinking of you always. You have been on my mind non-stop since Monday afternoon. But if someone else reads this, just make sure he knows how much people are thinking of him.

Hey, i just want you to know that I am behind you all the way. I just saw you in concert on June 17th 2001 in Greensboro NC. I love you guys so much, I am so glad that you could admit that you had a problem and that you wanted to fix it. You are one of my favorites and I really believe that you're strong enough to get through this. I hope that you do cause I have been a fan for a very long time and i would be so sad if you guys broke up. Like Nick said that this is hopefully one of those things that will make you guys stronger. I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. i can totally understand what its like to lose someone very close to you. I lost my grandmother, and I totally went into a deep depression. She was my best friend and I spent every moment I could with her. She was in a terrible car accident. I was only 11 when she died so I didn't get alot of time with her. But the thing that helped me the most was just talking about it and the fact my mom was going to finally give me a baby brother! my brother was born 6 months after my grandmother was in that accident. I truly believe he was the one that kept me sane. I just want you to know that we are all praying and wishing that you recover and live a happy life, and get back to the Boys. For they can't be the BSB with you. I am proud of you and respect that you had the courage to ask for help. In my eyes you have always been the dream guy. Even when I heard about what happened I teared up, not because the image changed but because you had the guts to do something about your problem. Alot of people wouldn't have seen that. No one is looking negatively upon this, infact I still believe that when you get better the BSB will still be strong and the number one music group of all time. Your music is an inspiration and its the most beautiful thing on this earth. when times ever got hard for our family or my mom and i just got off a hard day we'd listen to your music and slowly become more relaxed. my mom and i give our best wishes and we want you to know that you are not alone because we all are willing to give you the support you need. Now as you get better teens and even adults can look at their problem and help theirselves to us you are a brave person and it made us happpy to hear that you were willing to help yourself. it made us feel even better that the guys did'nt try to hide it. i dont really know what to say but i want to say something...i cant really say i know what any of the backstreet boys feel or how you aj must be feeling, but i get the general idea because i have been a dedicated fan for nearly 6 years and feel like we are one big backstreet family and it hurts to know that a member of the family is hurting too.i can speak for the whole bsb clan by saying im so proud that youre doing something to help yourself and that youre not being bullied into this decision.
i hope you get back to the aj we all know and truly love and i cant wait to see you in uk on the tour!

Dear AJ~
Who knows if you're going to read this, and even if you don't read any of these "best wishes," I can only hope that someone else out there will, and it will help them.
I don't know what to say that hasn't already been said more eloquently than I could ever put it. I suppose Mariah Carey put it the best:

AJ, you're a hero to each and every one of us. Remember that no matter what the fans are behind you. Though few of us know the real you, we can only hope that he's as amazing of a person as the man we see on stage.

I'm really proud of you for making the decision to go to rehab. I know that it takes a lot of courage to admit that there's a problem.
