When I found out about your situation I fainted. I couldn't believe what I was hearing, and when I came to my senses, all I could think about was your safety. I truly wish you the best and I think you have so much courage to get help and to realize that you had a problem. People die every day because they arent aware of their problem and they dont tell people what is going on. You were strong and you told someone about your problem and you got help. I look up to you because of that. I was supposed to be going to the July 9th show in Boston, MA. I turned on the radio to hear the cancellation of the rest of the shows. I thought it was because Nick broke his hand, but when i watched TRL that very afternoon I saw that there were only 4/5 of my favorite group, and I knew something was wrong. I was absoultly devastated when I found out, and now all I can do is pray nonstop. I put rosary beads over every picture of you that hangs on the walls of my room and i have a huge cross over your face on a poster. I pray for you everynight and I truly wish you the best of luck. I was in rehab for a while because I didn't know how to deal with problems that were going on in my life and I turned to alchol and had very serious bouts of deperssion and if it wasn't for getting the help I porbaly wouldn't be here right now. Your music has also helped me when I need to just release all my anger and sadness. I hope that you will stay strong in everything you do. I'm so glad that you choose to get help. I just wanted to Thank AJ I was treated for Alcohol abuse and deperssion about a year ago and I was supposed to go to a therapist but I never went. I just wanted to let you all know and AJ that thanks to him I'm going there because this story made me see that I can't do this on my own. I thought that I could just go on with my life and forget about everything but now I know that there is no way I can. A.J. it takes a real man to come out and admit he has a problem. All of my prayers go out to you. I saw the story first on TRL and I babysitting with my friend Becky. (Becca,Becky confusing!) Anyway we both are the biggest fans of the backstreet boys, and we saw them and got up from our chairs and stood 2 inches from the tv. We saw no A.J and we knew somthing was wrong. Then all of a sudden ###### the 7 year old kid we were babysitting for turned the tv off, and our blond selves did'nt know how to turn it back on. I was the first to race up the stairs, I was screaming A.J the whole time. I heard the news and I just sat there and cried for the rest of the day. I was so surprised because when I saw you in concert in Pittsburgh, PA on Feb. 9 this year, you seemed fine. I cried and cried. You mean the world to me. "It's true, I mean it, from the bottom of my heart, yeah it's true, without you I would fall apart" I taped TRL the day Brian, Nick, Howie and Kevin were on, and when they played the tape of you singing your song, I was so sad.
