Dear A.J. I've looked at your face and the faces of Nick, Brian, Kevin and Howie for the last five years as they've been plastered all over my daughter's room. We've watched so many things with you guys on it, read everything, discuss and talk about you guys constantly, finally getting to see you in concert this year, that you guys feel like a part of our family, heck - your initials have even hung on our refrigerator for the last two years along with family photos. As a mom, esp. one who watched her 4-year-old daughter fall head-over-heels "for an older man," that I was saddened and emotionally overcome about your plight. Alex is 8 now and I've explained to her about your situation, knowing how sad she'll become, but also knowing that she'll pray with all her heart for you. Children are the greatest gift we'll ever receive, and Alex will be my only one. Children like her don't fall for images or get caught up in media hype - they just love from their hearts and she loves you with all her glorious child's heart, unconditionally and completely - so you must be very worthy (don't forget that). I feel for you and the rest of the guys, and esp. your mom, because we would do anything to protect our children, no matter how old they are. Your courage to come forth is commendable and I'm proud of you. Alcohol abuse has touched our lives too, some have seeked help and lead fulfilling lives, others haven't, but I can only pray they become as brave as you and do so, so they can become the person they need and want to be. To the one and only A.J.,
I don't know how it happened, but it did. Some of us never saw it coming. Some of us never knew you were sad. Because you kept a positive and wonderful attitude towards your fans.
Well, now it's time for us to be positive for you. You have my 100% support! Despite the fact that I don't know you, I know you're a good person inside and your music has always helped me through the hard times. I've had a friend who had to go in for depression, but she came out with a better outlook at life and a positive attitude. I know rehab will help you achieve that too. Cause you sure deserve it! All the luck in the world can't help you, but our support and your strength will! I know you can do it!

AJ,I love you and the rest of the Backsreet Boys but if that is what is caused many of your troubles and you feel like you wanna quit, thats ok by me. It may make me mad or sad but I don't want you to continue on being unhappy. Your happiness and well-being is all that matters to me!

AJ,
I just wana say that I Know what you are going thought , I know what it feels like to lose a loved one. My grand father died 2weeks ago, he was like a dad to me even if I didn't get to see him as much as I would have like to see him. You see, he lived in Mexico and live in the U.S. I only got to see on my summer vacations , but I practicly live with him and my grandma for those 3 mounths. Any ways, all I wanted to say is that you need to stay storng to get though these hard raod thats gotten in your path. YOU have to be storng to get though this so you can come back and do the things you love to do. Keep your head up , be strong don't give up now. I know that you just wana give up on the world because you don't see the meaning for caring but you can't give up becuase you too many people that care for you and that want you to get better. You have your family and friends and FANS that want you to get better. YOU need to be strong for them as well as for your self.I know this because I'm living it right now I 'm stragualing like you are, but I'm giving all I'v got to stay strong and not go into a depression becuase that would just make my family suffer more. Just be STRONG and get though this. :O)

When I first heard the news, I was shocked. But I am very thankful the Backstreet Boys did not lie to the fans and the public. What A.J. is going thriugh is very difficult and all his fans are hopeful he gets better. I'm just glad he was able to admit he needs help. I hope and pray every night that he gets back to normal and we can all see the happy A.J. we're used to seeing!

My Dearest AJ,
First off, I would like to just tell you what an inspiration you have been to me. I am telling you right now that I don't have a great singing voice like you, but late at night, I imagine that I have half the voice you do. When I hear you sing, I give nothing else in this world a care. Because at that point, nothing else matters except the words that are coming out of your heart and soul. When my mom told me that the BSB concert had been postponed (late Monday night) because of your illness, I just about cried. It took me all night to realize that what you did would always affect me, but that you are a person just like any other beneath your "Pop" life. It also took me a while to realize that I should be really proud of you for you telling the rest of the guys that you needed help. I've heard Nick say that you don't really like to share your feelings with other people and I totally respect that because I am exactly the same way. If I were you, I probably wouldn't have told anyone until they asked me about how I had been acting different. That is why I admire you (with all of my heart)for what you did. I trust that you will get better in your 30 days of rehap because I KNOW that you are loved by MILLIONS of people and hopefully that love will give you the strength to get through your tough times. I adore you AJ and I am praying for you more than I have ever prayed for anyone in my whole life. I admire the strenght and courage you have, and I'm glad you chose to get help. All of us miss you and we pray and hope everyday that you'll get better and hit the road, soon.
