Hey AJ,
I honestly wish I could be there in person to try to help make you better, cheer you up a bit, or even bring you McDonalds, but I guess a note of support will have to do. I hope this at least reaches you but I wonder if you'll even have time to read my letter, seeing as how many other people are sending you e-mails. Just as you've read before, I'm sure, I am very proud of you that you found the strength to admit you have a problem with alcohol and need help. I know not what you are going through but I do understand what the people around you are experiencing. This past weekend, my boyfriend of two years and I broke up because he has a serious drug problem, and unlike you, he is unwilling to get help. I'm sure that the fact that you are willing to change means the world to the people who love you (which includes me) because when you are hurting, the people around you feel hurt too. You're life is very precious to me, all your fans, friends and family, so try to keep positive, even when it gets hard, so you can get better soon. I send you my condolences on the loss of your Grandmother; I understand that you were very close to her. I'm not sure if you want another or like this idea, but if you get another tattoo, maybe you could dedicate it to her in memory. I would love to meet you one day and talk to you but I have never had the opportunity to go to a BSB or Johnny No Name concert. I've been a big fan of yours since day one and always will be. You are a beautiful person and have an amazing voice to share with the world so don't let anything get in the way of doing what you love. I would really appreciate getting an e-mail from you (even someone close to you would do) on how you are doing and if your treatment is going well (write me at SugarBaby840526@hotmail.com). Dear AJ,
How are you doing? I was kind of shocked the other day when I saw the rest of the guys on TRL. I was speechless at first and then I realized how inspiring you are. You have realized that you had a problem and you took action to fixing it. It takes a lot of guts to do that. I don't know if you remember me or not, which you probably don't, but I've actually met you before. It was during the second show at Rupp Arena in Lexington, KY back in 1999. You were so nice to me along with the other guys, but since then I have gained more respect for all of you.
My father is a recovering alcoholic, he has been sober for 6 years and I am so proud of him. When I told him about what you were doing, he said that you have a lot of courage because it's very hard to realize that you have a problem. He also told me of how it was a hard step to take, but when you have love and support, you can make it through. He said that all you need to do is hang in there and stay strong. Not only for yourself but for your loved ones. We all love you AJ. You and the rest of the Backstreet Boys are a big part of the fans lives. It wouldn't be the same without you. But if you feel as if that's what is wrong, don't do it. Your health is what is most important to us. Don't let anyone try to tell you that it isn't. I don't know if you will get this letter or not. Heck I don't know if you will even get any of them, but if you do, look how many people love you. Just remember that you are one of the reasons why this world is shaping up. You just may be the help that we need to get people to realize their problems and try to fix them the best way that they can. AJ, you are our Shining Star!!!!! Dear AJ,
I'm your fans from Indonesia, Asia. I'm kinda shocked when I heard about what happened. I never suspected it cos you seemed doing it ok. But of course, I am just an outsiders. I mean, I don't know you inside out. I wanted to say something good and wise, but I cant. because I don't know exactly what you've been through. I never experienced that kind of problems and I don't know anyone who has it. But I do hope that you'll get through this.
I heard that music business can be a cruel place. So I guess it's normal if someone can be out of control because of it. I'm just glad that it's not too late. Because I would really devastated if something happen to you. You are my favourite from BSB. I think you are the greatest singer. Noone could sing like you do, noone can perform like you do. Brian is right, you love to be on stage, once you're on it, you know how to use it to make a good performance. Like Frank Sinatra, you are a great performer. I think highly of you and the rest of the bands. I admire your hard work and never quit to try. I love your songs, your harmonies and especially your voice. Your songs are the music of my life. Your harmonies leads my life story ended in a good way. And your voice make me feel be a better person. You might think I make this up, it sounds too cheesy but it's the truth. It just the way I feel bout you. Everytime I feel down and really upset, I just listen of "No One Else Comes Close", my fav song. The way you singing it, makes me feel comfort everytime I hear it. It's too bad, you didn't make it a video clip. I love that song because of you. That beautiful song become more beautiful because of you. you make the song alive, you make it talk through your heart. It's not because it's talking about love, it's because you feel love when you hear it. And you're the one who make that happen. You see how amazing singer you are. I've never felt so much love from a song before. Don't think I said all of this because I think you're cute. Believe me, I notice your voice first before your look. And I must say it's not that cute. =) you don't need look, what you need to get attention is a mic and a stage. They will notice you instantly, I'm sure. You were born to become a performer. You live to perform. It's not because you have to, it's because you love to do it. nobody can't perform like that if they don't love it.
I believe you'll get through this. You are a strong man, if you can handle those neddles sticking on your body, you can handle this. Please don't give up. I know I'm not gonna give up to search a way to see your performances through internet or concert tapes from here. So I'm hoping you're not too. I know you're not. Hey AJ I just wanted to say Thanks for caring enough about yourself and the people around you to get the necessary amount of help for a full recovery. I know there are a lot of people praying for you and the Boys and your family. We're keepin the Backstreet Pride alive baby!!! Take as much time as you need, we'll be waiting right here for you. I know a lot of people are looking at this as something negative, but this is for the best and ultimately they will see that BSB is gonna come back stronger and better than ever. After writing you earlier I relized that I have been illiterate
to the fact of what yall have to deal with on a day to day bases.
It took this incedent for me to relize that yall are not as lucky
as I thought yall were. It also took almost 4 years to relize that yall
deal with so much stuff that it would drive a sane man crazy.
That is not saying that you are crazy, it is saying that we as fans
amirier you and that 4 guys for keeping your saniaty. But back
to the real reason I am writng this letter.
I want you to know that as a BSB fans I wish you the best
and I also want you to know that I am VERY proud
for making that frist step and asking for the help you need.
Despite all the killer dance moves and the heavenly vocals
you still have a soft side, and for that reason it is ok to cry
and be emotional at times and it is best to be.
What I am trying to say is that I want you to know you did
the right thing and that nothing you could have done would have
been better then the action you made and asked for help.
You prove that you are a real man and I for one want
to thank you for that alone. AJ I want you to know that you
are my hero. I understand from a news report that some fans image has been
changed by this incedent and I want to tell them fans this
(If you are a BSB fans you would stand beside AJ and take
his hands and tried to comfort him to the best of your ability.
If your image has been chagned by this incedent : NEWSFLASH!!!
You Are Not A BSB Fans. You have the put AJ's
Shoe on and walk a mile before you can judge him. I also want you
to know that you are no BSB Fans if you can not
stand storng for AJ and the guys as they work this problem out.
You also have to relize that AJ is only human and he
makes mistake, and you would not not want your best
friends to turn on you for something you did, so you have to go
with the golden rule on this one. {Treat others as you want to treated}
I don't think that is to much to ask.)
AJ I also want you to know that you are the strongest person I know.
I also want you to know you are in my prayer along with Brian, Howie, Kevin,
and Nick, that Jesus will touch the 5 of you and make everything better for you!

PS: This is to the Backstreet Boys, Yall are what make me whole. About 6 weeks ago
I had to deal with the passing of my grandmother. All I can remember was crying. I would
be comforted by my family and BSB Music. It was the hardest thing I had to deal with.
I remember thinking that it was a terrible dream, and thinking that I would stap out of it.
It just kept getting realer and realer. It was hard but yall and family member helped me
get passed it. It still hurts but I can't change that fact that she is gone. I can only remember
the few good times we had due to the distance. She Lived in Gheer, South Carolina, I live in
Tallassee, Alabama. It is a 6 hours drive. I hardy got to see her but despite the distance i still
loved her. I just have to think that I am proud for her she is with the good lord
and there is no better place to be. I don't want to keep boring you with my sarrow
but I just wanted to think you for your help getting pass the problem. Yall Are Honestly The BEST!!:):)

Congratulations for having the courage to recognize that you have a problem and for doing something about it. Unfortunately not all people who have problems reach that point until it's too late. My prayers and thoughts are with you as I am confidant that you will get better as you have already overcome the hardest obstacle by admitting you have a problem. Remember that all your fans are here for you and will always be. We look forward to your return, but be sure to return when you're ready and not just for the sake of making it short to get back to the tour. Your life is way more important, everything else after that will fall into place.
