i hope you still get to read this... I was going through my stuff and i found this book where i write down all the things that have inspired me in some way or another… I showed it to my sister and we decided to translate it, since it was written in Spanish and send it… hopefully it didn’t lose much in the translation (please excuse the mistakes…). we had already posted a message for you here... it's a few pages back... this is for you!!!Right this instant… … someone is very proud of you

Hey Aj,
Me and all the other fans in the UK are all behind you 110%. I wish you all the best and hope that things work out and that you get the help you need.You are already half way there by admitting that you have a problem and doing something about it,it takes a lot of guts to do that especially when you're in the public eye, Everyone respects you for that and are proud of you. To the world you are just one person but to that one person you are the world.

Thanks for being honest with the fans I/we really appreciate that as you could have quite easily just said that AJ was unwell and he needed a rest.

I just wanna say I am so very proud on you AJ !!! Really !!! Just by admitting you have a problem and really wanna do something about it is awesome and I admire you for that !!! I also admire Nick, Kevin, Brian and Howie for suporting you and say it to the world. Their honesty means al lot !!!

I'm soooo proud of you for realizing that you needed help.
I want you to know that me and all the Brazilian fans are here praying for you every single day because we want you to get better really soon and we know that it will happen!

What'up,
Good luck and best wishes. You have alot of gutts A.J. I'll try to get a letter though to you.I have no idea how rough a time you're going though but I do know I've gone though alot of deep dapresion. I went though losing both my grandparents and my great-aunt Milly(Mildred) whom I was very close to. Then I lost my dad to a devorce last year and found out he wasn't even mybiological father.I never met my real father he's Pouto Rican, that's all I know. Losing him was the hardest thing that happened to me.He was my closest family member. Sorry if that's too much info, I said it for a reason just let me get to it.
Anyway, all this has happened in the last 3 years and I'm not going crazy anymore. I have to admit I cried that day when they announed your grandma 's death. In fact about 2 to 3 weeks later my great-grandma died. I was very close to her,we even shared the same name (I was named after her "Miriam" was her name.) I'm telling you all this because I can relate to it and if it wasn't for the councling I had I would still be having problems. Not only have I been helped but I deal with a friend who has strong depression. She was to the point where she was cutting in school . I would take her hand take away whatever she was using and tell her to stop it and that she shouldn't distroy herself like that. Now a half later shes becoming stronger and hasn't thought about nothing more than her future. She still gets depressed but nottin' that a night of sleep can't cure. To tell you the truth if it wasn't for friends, family and your music (or should I say the BSB music)I don't know what I'd do. Oh and most importantly the lord himself, may he help you and your family get though your rough times.You will always be in my prayers along with the rest of the group.Good luck on your recovery A.J. & thanks for the insperation.

To me it makes you more real to see that you are a normal person who is going thought normal problems. You are the best. I am so very proud of you for what you did!! It takes alot to admit you had a problem. You have influenced my life so much whether you realize it or not, you have! If you guys weren't here neither would I! I either would have died of depression or commited suicide. Your music and you all as people kept me alive. And by that I mean by the way you look at life and your positive attitude on almost every situation. I also admire how you have this attitude of here I am, this is me, you like me or you dont! I know your love for music and performing is strong! I love to dance and you ispired me to keep going even when its was hard and I wanted to give up or got hurt! ~*AJ, I just wanted to say good luck getting better and all. When I first found out about you being in rehab and the concert being postponed, I thought it was a rumor and I had just come back from Disney World and I hadn't heard anything down there. When I went on the Backstreet.net and read everything, I knew then that it wasn't a rumor and I was so upset because you were sick. I wasn't upset because the tour was postponed. You totally don't deserve this. You are such a great person and I admire you so much. I hope you get better. I don't care how long you take as long as you get better. As I said about the tour being postponed before...I was suppossed to go to your concert on July 16th. I want you to know that I don't care that it was postponed. I would wait for you forever as long as I knew that you were getting better. So... with that said I hope you get better...take your time. We all love you. I love you! Please recover for me!
