When I heard that you were getting help, I was sad and relieved. Sad because you
were dealing with some serious problems and then relieved that you are getting the help
you need to heal. Take all the time that you need to heal and know that you're fans are

Hello, AJ. I hope you are feeling stronger. As each day passes, I know you will get better and better and your confidence will return. I saw the Backstreet Boys when they performed in Nashville in June of this year, and my daughter and I thought you were all great! You five are such wonderful entertainers, and you gave us a night we will never forget. Your voices and dancing were awesome! AJ, you particularly looked and sounded great. I loved when you rubbed the top of your bodyguard's bald head (when you were standing behind him on the circular stage). You are such a doll -- so funny, so sweet. But life can do awful things to all of us. Sometimes we just have to pause and renew and get well. You WILL be better soon. Your talent and joy for life will not be stopped!!Love you, Carolyn

dear aj, ever since the backstreet boys came out i have respected you and the other boys. i know are having a very hard time these days but everyone belives in you. even though yo had to cancel all the toronto shows it was for a very good reason. hope you feel better and best wishes.

Dear Brian,I know that this supposed to be written for A.J. but I really think that all of our messages could help Him less than Your (Brian Thomas Littrell, maybe the closest christian friend of A.J.) encouraging presence when your brother in Christ (A.J.) is in need. Dear AJ,
I know you can get through this. You are a light for so many people around and I know you will keep the flame burning.
I know it can be hard sometimes but you have millions of friends all around the world who will support you and always respect you. Admitting you had a problem shows how strong you are and that makes me respect you even more than before. I'm also glad that you and the other guys were honest with us and didn't cover this up. Thank you for that.
I can't wait to see you guys in concert when you next come over to the UK.

dear AJi know how you feel we all feel sad somtimes.
but especially when i saw the other boys on t.v telling about you i realized how hard it is and it makes me cry.

Dear AJ,Your health is the most important thing to your fans and I want you to know that you are in our prayers. You checking yourself into rehab as helped let me know that I have a problem. I always looking for booze. You have helped me relize that there are many people that care for me just as you have many people that care for you. There are things that I have done that I can fix, just as you are doing now. Like my drinking problem (which I always want and I'm only 15), smoking and the damage I'm doing to my body. Thank you for opening my eyes to my problems. If not for you I would have gone on denying I have a problem. I'm the type of teen people say that give teenagers a bad name. Your music puts a smile on my face and helps me with my problems I hope it will do the same for you. My best wishes.

Dearest AJ, **~When I heard the news that one of the Backstreet Boys was having problems I had a total meltdown. I was afraid that one of you was badly injured or even worse. When I found out the whole story and learned that you were in rehab it broke my heart because I knew you had had a tough life,and had so much pain that had been eating you up inside for so long. I want you to know that I believe on you totally because I think you're strong both mentally and physically. You can get over this and as an admirer I have complete faith in you. I will keep you in my prayers (I always have and will), and I will also keep our mother as well as Brian,Kevin,Nick, and Howie in my prayers too. I think you did the right thing when you checked yourself into rehab. It hits home for me because there are so many kids my age who are overwhelmed with depression and don't even know it. Sadly, more often than not, depression leads into drug abuse and sometimes even suicide attempts. So many kids look up to you and I think that you set an incredible example of how to take care of things. Take care. You're in my prayers.Love,
