Hang in there Aj. Life is worth it.Your story touched me because I just dealt with alcohol abuse in my family. Last year I was in florida with my dad,alone when he got very sick with pancreas problems. It was from drinking. 1 day later he was in a coma. I had to fly him back home with a nurse to our hospital in Ontario because they said that he was not going to live. I could not let him die without my sisters and step-mother getting the chance to say goodbye. Anyway to make a long story short my dad is now called a medical miracle. He was in a coma for 4 months but he is alive and recovering. Please don't give up. You never realize how important you are to those you love until you are in a bad situation. It all happened so fast for me and I had so much I wanted to say to him. I thank god for giving me the chance to make sure he knows how important he is to me. I know I don't really know what you are going through since I was on the other end but I am glad you are getting help now before it is too late to say you should have. Hey Hun,
I'm really sorry about your grandma.My aunt just recently died also(6/28/01)and we were really close so I definately know how u feel and I know u have had it rough through the years. But just look at how many people care about u.look at your fans and the rest of the boys and including myself know u can pull through this.I know it might be hard but I know u can. and no matter what anyone says I believe in you .you are special to me as well as others and I will never look at u in any different way. I have liked you for 7yrs now and nothing u can do will ever change that. so all I can say to u is hang in there and be strong u will get through this know matter what:)

A.J., I'm a stranger to you, but I can say that I love you and admire you so much. You are human, just like the rest of us. But God has gifted you. I admire you for your courage to admit the need for help. You have the strength to overcome any thing, look what you have already accomplished in life. Let me quote something to you that I found in the book of Isaiah, Chapter 43, verses 2-3 "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you. When you cross rivers, you will not drown. When I heard this news I was devastated. But since I'm such a big fan and I believe in you so much I know that as strong as you are you'll make it through with the help of loved ones, friends and all the fans. I'm a huge fan of the Backstreet Boys . I always support them in every way because they're the best band in the universe who makes great music & sings fantastic songs & is extremely talented ... And the boys are so nice & sweet & friendly & modest ... they're just great people who try to make the world a better place to live through their music & other works . Now , one of them is going through a lot & I would like to wish him the best of luck , I believe in Alexander James McLean & I know that he will get better very soon & he will be stronger than ever especially that his family , friends , bandmates = best friends & fans are there for him & will always be there for him . I would also like to add that we all should look at this in a positive way because the Boys are role models & this will lead so many troubled people to seek help . I believe that the Backstreet Boys will be stronger once AJ gets back from the rehab & even if they don't , I will always be their fan & I will always respect them & love them forever !!!! And off course I will KTBPA4E !!! I love you Boys , thank you so much for everything you've done for me & your other fans ... I believe that there's no end to this group ...
