I also have depression, that I have beening dealing with for the past 10 yrs. Everyone can send you their thought and prayers and best wishes, and TRULY mean it, but it's hard to understand how you are feeling. It is a feeling that is empty and dark and you are desperate to replace it with any other feeling. It has to be especially hard to be on your schedule with little down time. Everyone deals the best they can, but there are times you need extra help. As much as I love BSB, and I DO, there will always be another concert or tour, but you NEED to take time for yourself, heal and mend. You do and give up a lot for your profession, now you need some "AJ" time. You deserve and need it. Hang in buddy, it WILL get better, I promise! It is far to easy for us to look at pop stars especially and see perfection and poise. It seems as though many celebrities live in a fairytale world with money, fame, attention and oppurtunity. But behind the superficial skins of a pop star, there lies a real, normal human being who cries, laughs, grieves, makes mistakes and suffers. It is nearly impossible for us to see this sitting at home surrounded by our media images. But any person with a brain and a conscience is going to need to have true emotions, and true emotions include so many more things than simply joy and happiness. Money and being under the constant watch of the world can have a remarkable ability to throw a person, like AJ into a confused state of inner turmoil. And because the pressure to be perfect is so immense, it makes the decision to seek help and admit faults very, very difficult. Stars have to make very hard decisions that pit their career against their own well being and due to pressure from outside forces rather than internal voices, many choose to continue to live a lie for the sake of the band and the career. I think because AJ and the Backstreet Boys have decided to be honest and do what is best for them personally, it will make it easier for other pop stars to admit faults and also open doors to make it ok for teens to seek help for alcohol and drug related problems.
